Ever wanted to play Murder with just your friends in a call? Well I have!

I’m suggesting that Elite+ be given a new command;

/party privatelobby or /party pl

Only the party leader can create this, and that party leader must be an Elite+

When the command is in action, the player will then select the game they wish to play, once they click the sign, the lobby is automatically private to the players of the party.

Leave your thoughts and feedback on this!

Ben has brought up a good point, it would be a lot harder and more work to be able to moderate those lobbies and could overall cause some problems. I also feel that it’s not necessary, I get what you’re trying to say while making this suggestion, but I think you should just create a party with your friends. -1

Only saying no for reasons when this was suggested before:

It would be much harder to moderate, and therefore easier for people to hack in these private lobbies.
Well I mean it’s with friends and other servers that have this feature really don’t care what they do on those private servers since only their friends can join. And even then an anti cheat can easily fix it.

I get that it isn’t necessary, but I mean lots of things aren’t necessary. Think of all the new purchases of the E+ rank that could from this awesome perk!! It would also make the E+ rank a lot more valuable and more unique!

A lot of the larger networks are much less moderated, and end up having a lot more hackers. Having private lobbies like this, as Ben said, would likely increase the amount of hackers.
Back to your point of the anti-cheat, PZ does not currently have an anti-cheat (however SARAH is in the works!), but even so, anti cheats don't catch everything. Also, with the small playerbase PZ has, many players would be waiting a while to play a game of murder if all of the people who used to play in their games (those who play with friends) would go to private lobbies. This may deter players from playing murder.

What Kate means by not necessary is that there is an easy alternative- not like commands like /marry. As she said, you can easily create a party with friends and go to an empty murder game, sure, more people may join, but it doesn't really ruin the gameplay.

I see a major problem with how we would moderate these. I suppose it would be nice for Elite+ to have another perk due to them being heavily under-perked as it is, but with our playbase being small, I don't think this is currently a good option. SARAH might help push this forward in the future, but as of now, we aren't ready.

I see what you’re saying about moderation, but overall you’re in a private lobby with only your friends, if they feel uncomfortable with a player hacking, or breaking the rules in their own private lobby, they can for surely report them as do other players.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t necessarily see a lot of moderation going into murder games, and I mean no disrespect when saying that.
It’s definitely not a necessary feature, as many other things implemented were not. Elite+ is lacking perks, and this could be another one.

Definitely a good point, PZ players can report others, I know that this private lobby is more for friends, but a lot of players are very passionate about the rules.

Other networks also have anti-cheat codes and /report when it comes to hacking.

Not saying this needs to be implemented right this second, if it helps, this can definitely wait for “SARAH”.

I’m also questioning, hacks that’s can be used on the game Murder are most likely just x-ray. I doubt an anti-cheat would detect that. So when it comes to “moderating” are you talking about the game chat?

I see your point when it comes to players being in private lobbies, as I previously stated, this perk can only be available to Elite+, as others may join they can only create that private lobby. Majority of E+ play Creative (and that’s also where the majority of moderation goes) as that’s where their perks are as well. I play Murder frequently, but I could be wrong, a lot of players are in singles when it comes to Murder.

It’s not necessary, but I think it’d be a fun feature to implement, the alternative is definitely an option, but the entire point of this thread is not having other players join, as it does ruin the gameplay of having it just your friends in my own opinion.

I agree with it, this does not need to be a feature implemented this second, though it’d be lovely to see in the future.

I understand what you’re trying to say about moderating, but hacking and etc is still against the rules. Hacking is taking advantage over other players and the game to win and get the coins than everyone else. As said above, PZ is working on moderating hackers/catching them, for now if you do see someone hacking report to a staff member and encourage other players to do the same. Back to the suggestion, it’s not a bad idea but I don’t think it will benefit the server and it may cause problems in the long run. If there’s ideas to solve the issues and get solutions, I will take them to consideration. I will remain my vote as -1.

Maybe disable winning coins on private servers so they can’t farm coins! Just an idea! :p

That’s a good point. But it could still happen a lot.

I think that’s definantly a good idea, if this were to ever be added.

I think it’d be better if we don’t have private lobbies for now, I don’t see much of a use for now seeing as the server is quite small. If we ever get 1000s of players on the daily, and if we ever have a really good anticheat, then I may consider a plus one.

For now I’ll be changing my vote to neutral.

A lot of people do not want to report their friends, or don't know how to report people. This already happens many times, and with a private lobby where many of the people would not want to report their friends for hacking, it may increase the rates of hacking.
Staff members do go into murder games, however not all the time, as our priority is creative and the lobby.

Same as above, very few players are passionate about the rules and would be willing to report their friends.

There are a lot of different hacks that can be used in murder (sprint, kill aura, bunny hop, x-ray, etc). Most of those could be detected by a better anti-cheat (although, of course, there would always be some that would be missed), though x-ray would be a little harder to catch (as you said). Moderating game chat would also be an issue as well.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this comment, even if majority of E+s play creative, it will still affect murder in the way I mentioned. It's not a major problem, but could be something that upsets lower ranked players.

I don't really understand how it would ruin the gameplay by having others in your game- if they're being rude, report them, if they're hacking, report them. However, I may not understand this fully since I may have different opinions to you, though could you elaborate a bit more?

I get what you mean. The only thing is people keep saying not right now, we need more players. We can’t get more players on the server if 1. The ranks keep being underperked 2. If every idea about cool new things are rejected. How will we ever get to that 1000+ players. The server needs more cool perks and mini games to bring in more players. Just my opinion, but I still totally agree with you I feel like this could wait a bit just because of the anti cheat.

Just because an idea is cool doesn’t mean it will succeed in game. Look what happened to survival games, for example. Yes it was a cool idea, and was supported on forums, but that didn’t mean it succeeded in game.
The ranks are underperked, yes, but what’s the point of implementing “cool” ideas if they don’t actually succeed. Implemented features need to go through a process, cool will not get it anywhere. Also everyone has a different view on what cool is, so your definition may be different to others.

But yeah this idea would be nicer if anti cheat was available and a solution to help moderate was implemented.

( sorry if that sounded rude! )

It didn’t sound rude at all! You made an excellent point thank you for saying that!

I agree with the majority here. I’m spend most of my time moderating Creative but I do try my best to switch to Murder every now and then. Whenever I go to mMurder there are at most 8 people on one lobby and typically only two lobbies even have people playing in them. Partyzone is still a very small server and adding this change might lessen the playercount in Murder due to Elite+ always being in their private servers and the other players would be left out. As Catten said earlier, some players have to wait a long time to start a game due to the lack of players online.

I also agree with Bcnnn since having a private server would make them harder to moderate and therefore easier to get hacked or abuse. MintTea’s add-on to the suggestion did change the circumstances with not earning any coins, however, some people only play Murder to earn coins and that would decrease the value of the private servers. In general I don’t think many people would play on private servers if this were to be implemented and might result the same as ES with a lack of players.

For now I’ll be voting -1 but my vote can be swayed if another suggestion comes up that appeals to my points.

Well... the server is currently low enough where a few lobbies can be empty. Yet a year or two ago I walked into a simuliar thing yet they "kindly" asked people to leave. Just 2 or some days ago this occured again. Personally I dislike this as boosting could be a thing yet I guess it is what it is. I heard a rumor someone boosted from rank like 140 to 30 or 10. Yet just a rumor even if I know it was possible.

It would not be a bad idea for private lobbies, as long as they don’t affect stats, because we all know people could boost for a leaderboard position. But there’re so many servers on murder you can even asily find one with no people and just play with your friends. I feel like the developers should try to improve the other game modes on the network and give them a bit more attention so more people would play them.

I'd be fine with this, not that I'd benefit from it smh.
