After my resignation on the PartyZone network, I began questioning plenty of rules that were implemented without good reason. Many of which I remembered why they were added and how we punished when someone said or did the action, but I kept coming back to one rule that had no direct reason for it existing. The rule in which you may not speak of or mention another network.
The rule that I have in question is listed as shown below;
This rule mentions both discussion of and advertising minecraft servers are not permitted, which is completely absurd. I can understand advertising seperate networks and discussing how some network is better than PartyZone but even mentioning a name of a large network in a suggestion or using one of their discord emotes on the PartyZone discord can lead to a punishment.
I was warned for using an external emote on the discord that contained the name of another network. I was in no way attempting to fuel a discussion or advertising the network, but was warned and told off for appealing stating that I shouldn’t be warned for something not clarified in the rules.
The reason this rule should be modified because there really shouldn’t be an issue with discussing another network, especially if trying to write a suggestion about a game that is on another network and how we can make it more original or more popular. With a lot of rules, context is extremely important (i.e saying “die” in murder isn’t severe [if context is clear], meanwhile as “die” in creative is). In this case, it’s similar. Saying a networks name and talking about it in a sense that doesn’t fuel advertisement but instead a way to benefit PZ may not be punishable, however saying a network’s name in the sense of it being advertised should still remain punishable.
Below are scenarios that show if this rule was modified what would most likely be allowed and what would most likely not be.
Please leave any constructive criticism or comments below. I will also gladly have a friendly debate with Kirstree and/or Iruu about this matter.

- Discussing and advertising Minecraft networks and servers that are not PartyZone is not permitted and can easily get you banned.

Scenarios where context is shown and is allowed

SCENARIO 1:
Player One: “I think Popular Network has a few cool games that I would like to see here on PartyZone”
Player Two: “I agree! Popular Network has interesting mechanics that I can see be benifitial to us”.
SCENARIO 2:
Player: (uses an external emote that includes the name of another network)
Player: “We should have something like this on PartyZone!”
or
Player: “Isn’t this a cool emote?!”
Scenarios where context is not shown or is clear advertisement.
