I have to agree that we are a little strict with rules. And that it should be the server ip being mentioned/advertised that should be punishable, not the server name being said. +1

i agree, unless it's something like "JOIN THIS SERVER NOW: IP.SERVER.COM", then that's a good reason to be banned.

Well, not necessarily. Saying “join CoolServer” will also fuel people to want to join. They may look up the IP if they don’t know it, so it does still classify as advertising. This suggestion is for being able to maintain a conversation without being punished for saying a network’s name during said conversation, not downright saying “let’s go play Minecraft Server!”
