I would like to bump this thread even though it has recieved an administrator’s approval and it’d be better to obtain feedback from other players on what they think.
Forums Stop Locking Threads for "Arguments"

I agree with this. Some arguments are “necessary” and “helpful” to be had. Yes, at times they get out of hand, but usually they are stopped too early to get to a good conclusion. I understand with the perspective of wanting to stop arguments before they get hostile, but the majority of threads that are locked because of “arguments starting” that I have seen/been a part of have been unhostile, and, if I may, friendly.
Arguments are a natural part of life, and the word “argument” can often be the wrong word to use. Arguments tend to bring yelling, insults, and anger to your mind, while lots of these have been passionate and helpful debates.
Once again, I completely understand the other side of things. You don’t want arguments to occur and hurt others, and you also don’t want the conversation to turn into an OFF TOPIC argument, which is considerably worse.
That being said, I am glad that this got approved (and not locked... hahah) and I hope this can be resolved

Eh, there kind of have been a couple, but I think we've tried to handle them quickly so the thread doesn't get locked.
Some things just need to be discussed and not discouraged ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
