Another simple thread, maybe even more simple. Risk of Rain 2. It's a game. Currently it is in development, but nonetheless it is a great game.
The benefits of this game is simple, the minimum players required to play this game will be 1. So no long queue times for players to join in, for them to leave last minute.
I haven't thought into detail about this idea, well I won't share too much, because I won't be able to convey my idea properly. Good luck with understanding this. o/
The game is a 3D multiplayer rouge-like that ranges from 1-4 players (maybe more
). The goal of this game is to survive as 1 of a selection of preset characters, that have abilities and skills. By using the character's unique abilities the goal is to survive as long as possible by collecting items around each stage with money. Money is gained by killing hostile enemies that get increasingly more difficult to deal with as time goes on. On each stage there will be a shrine/teleporter, that needs to be activaed by the players, and summon a stage boss, which they will need to fight. After a set duration of time, the teleporter will activate and allow the players transfer to the next stage. (currently in the game there is no "endgame", however one could be added)
Touching back to the items, each item give the player a passive effect to their character they are playing and stack upon getting another.
