A lot of people do not want to report their friends, or don't know how to report people. This already happens many times, and with a private lobby where many of the people would not want to report their friends for hacking, it may increase the rates of hacking.
Staff members do go into murder games, however not all the time, as our priority is creative and the lobby.
Same as above, very few players are passionate about the rules and would be willing to report their friends.
There are a lot of different hacks that can be used in murder (sprint, kill aura, bunny hop, x-ray, etc). Most of those could be detected by a better anti-cheat (although, of course, there would always be some that would be missed), though x-ray would be a little harder to catch (as you said). Moderating game chat would also be an issue as well.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this comment, even if majority of E+s play creative, it will still affect murder in the way I mentioned. It's not a major problem, but could be something that upsets lower ranked players.
I don't really understand how it would ruin the gameplay by having others in your game- if they're being rude, report them, if they're hacking, report them. However, I may not understand this fully since I may have different opinions to you, though could you elaborate a bit more?
When I think of why rules exist such as “no swearing, no spamming, no hacking”, I think they’re implemented to make players feel comfortable and for fair gameplay. By no means am I saying, that players should be able to, but overall it’s a private lobby with just your friends.
If a player is uncomfortable with what another player is doing, I don’t see why they won’t report them/message a staff?
It really just seems like a normal murder game to me, but just your friends.
I understand where the staff team is coming from with the concern of moderation, but obviously they’d be able to join if they wish.
Maybe giving them a /pl list ~ Shows a list of all private lobbies created at the time, if they wish to moderate it, they can.
It’s similar to /rp in creative if you really think about it.
Players break rules in /rp, and others report it.
I don’t see the difference, feel free to explain any differences you spot.
I agree with the majority here. I’m spend most of my time moderating Creative but I do try my best to switch to Murder every now and then. Whenever I go to mMurder there are at most 8 people on one lobby and typically only two lobbies even have people playing in them. Partyzone is still a very small server and adding this change might lessen the playercount in Murder due to Elite+ always being in their private servers and the other players would be left out. As Catten said earlier, some players have to wait a long time to start a game due to the lack of players online.
I also agree with Bcnnn since having a private server would make them harder to moderate and therefore easier to get hacked or abuse. MintTea’s add-on to the suggestion did change the circumstances with not earning any coins, however, some people only play Murder to earn coins and that would decrease the value of the private servers. In general I don’t think many people would play on private servers if this were to be implemented and might result the same as ES with a lack of players.
For now I’ll be voting -1 but my vote can be swayed if another suggestion comes up that appeals to my points.
I’m unsure what you’re speaking about? When I’m online there is over half or a little bit less than half on the Murder servers, it may be timezones, I’m unsure.
My perspective murder games do not take forever to start.
I’ll repeat, this perk would only be available to E+, I honestly think this will give players motivation to donate, which will give more money for the server to grow.
It’s entirely possible for it to go the opposite direction, but we’ll never know, unless we actually see it happen.
Maybe disable winning coins on private servers so they can’t farm coins! Just an idea!
(I’m sorry but I’m wondering why you use green text xD)
Adding on, it’s still a normal murder game... there is no reason to disable coins/ranking.
Farming is still possible without private lobbies..
Just because an idea is cool doesn’t mean it will succeed in game. Look what happened to survival games, for example. Yes it was a cool idea, and was supported on forums, but that didn’t mean it succeeded in game.
The ranks are underperked, yes, but what’s the point of implementing “cool” ideas if they don’t actually succeed. Implemented features need to go through a process, cool will not get it anywhere. Also everyone has a different view on what cool is, so your definition may be different to others.
But yeah this idea would be nicer if anti cheat was available and a solution to help moderate was implemented.
( sorry if that sounded rude! )
It is not certain is won’t succeed, Mint is correct when they stated ranks are underperked, not many are donating anymore (I’m not completely sure), because ranks are expensive with little gadgets/perks attached to them.
Nobody buys ranks = no money, which in the end is a negative thing for this server.
Well... the server is currently low enough where a few lobbies can be empty. Yet a year or two ago I walked into a simuliar thing yet they "kindly" asked people to leave. Just 2 or some days ago this occured again. Personally I dislike this as boosting could be a thing yet I guess it is what it is. I heard a rumor someone boosted from rank like 140 to 30 or 10. Yet just a rumor even if I know it was possible.
Its possible to farm without this suggestion, I honestly think it’s not that serious.
Overall I just want to be able to play a game with my friends alone in a call.
After reading this thread it appears that a lot of you think murder doesn't have an anti-cheat. This is not the case.
Also, I'm reading through this thread but skipping over every post that's in LIGHT GREEN. Cmon people, this isn't the late 90s.
Well there we go.
And big mood.
