Hi there!
Have you ever wanted to make a zombie campaign plot, but people just swift by it?
Well, do it with this!

With /plotgamemode you can control the plot's gamemode! If you enter somebody's plot, you will automatically tune to their gamemode only if you are added!

This is good for...
  • Custom Survival
  • Map Testing
  • Realistic Roleplays
  • And more!
If I have to be specific, I'll explain Plot Gamemode first.

Let's suppose you have a survival map set up and ask your friends to join! Currently, you don't have the power to change the game-mode. But with /plotgamemode, do /plotgamemode survival, and the plot gamemode transforms to survival, and you can play survival on MCPZ. Or, let's say you have an adventure map set up. /plotgamemode adventure, and your added players will be put into adventure mode. Or you have a parkour, and you don't want people to fly. /plotgamemode adventure. The whole point of /plotgamemode is to give the plot a taste in what it's really for, and will probably add more detail for what you want your plot to actually be, instead of understanding it in a mode where your belly is full, rather than playing in survival, in a campsite roleplay.

Now, moving on to gametypes.

Doing /plotgametype will give the player an insight on what the game is. So, let's say your hosting mafia. But some people on the plot next door [Very unlikely.] want to join. So do /plotgametype Mafia, and it will display Mafia in the subtitle section. This will help players identify plots instead of just looking at a collection of trees and a fire.

Basically, my suggestion in a nutshell, is to add commands to specifically detail your plot to the perfect taste for several events, as well as if this is accepted, then more varieties of plots will spring up. Such as parkour, or murder mystery with new rules.

EDIT: For those who mentioned being abused by it, just do /plotgamemode disable to disable gamemode effects, and /plotgamemode enable to enable gamemode effects, so you don't get trapped by a plot. ;)

Vote by typing +[Your points here] or -[Your points here]. E.G. +1 -1. Enjoy!

This is easily abusable. You could easily trap + kill people with this command. -1

/gamerule KeepInventory?
That's already enabled, but people would still be trapped + killed. Bear in mind, the gamemode is called "Creative".

That's already a thing probably, but it'll kill anyone who's flying by just roaming for some cool plots-

For this suggestion to work the players who fly by the chat, for them in the chat it'll come "This plots gamemode is set to survival, would you like to accept the changes" By this method, they'll be aware when their gamemode is changed and not randomly fall out of the void.

Pretty sure this was already suggested -

If I was flying over a bunch of plots, and I happened to fly over your’s I would be turned into survival mode. That wouldn’t be very fun for me.

Plus, I’m not really sure how possible it is to have a set reigeon change people’s game modes. Sorry, but -1.

That doesn't mean it's not abusable. You can easily do "/plot add *" to add every player to your plot.

Ok now you can do /plotgamemode disable. Now you don't have to be dropped down like that. If you find a plot where you're in survival on, [but you don't want to be, and let's suppose it's an offline roleplay.], just do /plotgamemode disable. You will not be effected by any plot gamemodes unless you do /plotgamemode enable.

But doesn't that just defeat the purpose of it in the first place?

There's such thing as kicking somebody off a plot... :/

If someone's intention is to trap/troll, they're not going to kick people off of the plot.

You clearly didn't think your retort through.
/plot report~

Tbh I think it should be the normal /gamemode command because only you would be able to change your own gamemode (if you somehow find a way to abuse that then staff can also change other people's gamemodes). Your gamemode can't be changed out of the blue and you can't troll others using this command.

Say a staff member, or a normal player be zooming around creative, and they get turned to survival mode when they enter your plot. It wouldn't be fun, and it'd be basically a waste of time having to walk out of your plot or go around it, It would help with RPs, but other aspects won't be fun. Hope my opinion helps! <3

I thought /plot report was for griefs . . .

but please correct me if I'm wrong.
/plot report is for reporting plots in general. E.G. Inappropriate Build, Haybale Trap, etc.

Not sure precisely what you mean by haybale traps but if you’re talking about rooms a player has built that ‘traps’ a player but still let them do /spawn that’s not counted as a trap and the report will be removed by staff. If you’re talking about a trap that lags players (mostly using fireworks) so they can’t use any commands and escape that would be though.
