Ok! So, I was just in Creative and so many people were talking about marrying people. So, this got me into this completely useless idea that is a bit fun though too!

The /marry Commands!
First: /marry
  • This sends a request to a user asking them to marry you!
  • Use is: /marry [username]
How do you accept or decline the /marry?
  • When someone sends a marriage request, in chat there will be a little thingy in chat sort of like a tpa request which two choices [I Do] and [I Don't]
  • If you accept, it will say in chat for only you and your husband/wife to see: Congratulations! You've been married. Remember to set your /marry ship
  • If you decline, a message will be sent to the person who sent the request saying "my heart belongs to someone else" or something funny like that.
If you don't want to stay married what do you do?
  • Use: /divorce [username]
  • A message would be sent to the husband/wife once they log on that there has been a divorce
Why would we use this command?
  • It's just for fun!
  • We would use to to have fun with our friends
  • And we all know that @Unstitched is the master of unneeded things for the servers
What's /marriage ship?
  • You do /marriage ship once you and your husband/wife have come up with a ship name
  • This will be shown in /marriage information
  • Just like a rp name it will say: "Your marriage ship has been set to [name]"
Any extra features we might add?
  • /marriage adopt [user]
  • This would allow users to adopt another user so they have children!
  • There would be a /adopt accept command that the user would do to make sure they aren't randomly adopted
  • Maybe /marriage information
  • /marriage information would show all the recent marriages that have occured as well as showing the users and their ship name
How to we prevent this from getting spammed?
  • If someone sends a request to someone that is married, they will get a message in chat saying "this person is already married"
  • Another way is to make it so that once you marry someone, you need to wait 10 - 15 minutes to get a divorce and at least 1 hour before you can marry again
So! That's it for my suggestion for now. I mean it's really early in the morning so I'm not 100% sure that this is what I was thinking. But if it isn't I'll do it when I wake up again.

Thanks to the people in creative that helped me come up with this :)

Fun idea, possibly may get spammy though. I think it should be made if you are already married there shouldn't be a request sent, it should say an alert such as 'this user is already married!' I think instead typing /marry ido or /marry idont, I think an alert should pop up, like a tpa request, and 2 options one saying I do whilst the other says I don't.

Overall I think this'll be a very fun for players to interact more with eachother. +1

Honestly the only thing I have to add is that the idea, I don't hate or dislike it, but I do recommend some kind of cooldown if implemented to prevent a mountain of spam. Other than that, well, I have nothing else to say on this topic.

It's been said previously that this won't be added, most likely due to the spamming issues it could cause. I think the best person to have comment on this thread and explain would be @MorphicDream

I'm editing the thread to have your suggestions in them including a message that says when someone is already married, the accept and decline being more like a tpa.
Pst. I wasn't roasting Sean, he's great because of that reason and has said it before about himself:)

Edit: The thread has been updated
