so yea, fairtrade products are a bit more expensive
you must be wondering

the higher cost allows the producers to actually make money
most fairtrade producers are living in very pour circumstances
buying something 50 cents extra isn't going to have a huge impact on your wallet
but not spending that 50 cents extra could make somebody loose their home
please be a conscious shopper and try to buy more fairtrade products!
