Ah eff it just read the thing
@Lunanary @Spirits @Twixela @Glyphynx @GlowingLights @Bori @Hyrotis @Glowy @Technoscrub @Val @AnxiousExtrovert @PumpkinSpicedPepper @Weii

The car was going at about 50 miles per hour, and I was fiddling with my thumbs in the backseat. I look up, and I see two inhuman figures driving the car. Figures made of shadow and smoke. The smoke surrounded the car until I could hardly breath. I could feel it’s tight grip around me, as I was unbuckled and carried over to the front seat. I sat on the figures lap, it staring right out the window. Slowly, the window rolls down, and I can feel the breeze on my face. I closed my eyes, as suddenly, I don’t just feel it on my face. I could feel it on my arms, torso, and legs. An extreme breeze. As I open my eyes, I see the car driving away as I fly away and hit the concrete.

And then.. I woke up. A nightmare like every other night. I don’t even bolt up, I just lay there staring at the ceiling, slowly rising, holding my head. I told myself that this is going to be a good day, since it was my first day at a new school. A school for the best. A school for the Ultimates.

I walk down to the door, and slip on my red-checkered coat and my galaxy shoes. I then open the door, and gracefully walk out. I come towards the entrance of the school...

And that, was the last thing I remembered. At least before this nightmare.

My eyes flicker open, as I stare at the ceiling. I find myself lying on the floor of a classroom. I slowly get up, and access my surroundings. The windows have been boarded and excessively nailed shut. It’s then I see three others here as well: A girl with long red and black hair, a pink bow on her head and a white sundress, A chubbier girl with wavy brown hair, and a boy with silvery hair and a red hoodie.

“Hello..?” I shyly speak. “Is everyone here alright? Or, can supply any input as of what's going on here?”

“Hm?” The boy spoke, unamused. “I have as much of a clue as you have, madam.”

“Okay then… Anyone else?”

The red and black haired girl turns around, and smiles gleefully. “Oh! You’re awake! Are you alright miss?”

“Oh, well, I appear to be okay. I’m a little confused as of where I am, so do you know?”

“I don’t, really.” She giggles, but I can tell there is fear behind it. “Well, what’s your name? Figured, ah, may as well.”

“It’s Kyoka. Kyoka Taro, to be exact.”

“That’s such a nice name!” She smiled gleefully, again. “Mine’s Chino.” I nod at that statement.

“Oh, so we’re getting all buddy-buddy first-name-basis?” The hooded boy commented. “If we’re doing that, then I suppose you can call me Alteca.” he says without moving from studying the boards on the windows, which is when I notice the chubbier one leave the room, which I decide to think nothing of.

“So.” I sighed. “Is there anyone else here?”

“I did hear some pitter patter in the hallways. I was just waiting for you to wake up, actually.”

“Why?”

“Well, I wanted to make sure you actually would wake up.”

I decided not to think much about that.

“So, what are we waiting for?” Chino asked.

“You to shut up.” Alteca responded.

“So, I’ll be going now.” I added.

I peeked out of the classroom and saw a hallway with a pink haze and a checkered floor. I stepped out, and looked to see that the pink haze did not last long. After a little while, I saw something extremely strange: A blue fire snake. I kid you not. A blue. Fire. Snake.

“Hello?” I asked it. “Are you lost?” It rose up to look at me, and then slithered past me to where I came, and then just sat at the door.

I approached it, to see Chino and Alteca both confused by the creature. When it could see it had all of our attention, it slithered away like it wanted us to follow, which we did.

While we were following the creature, I started to hear voices.

“Come on, there’s only so many places some stupid snake could wind up.” One of the voices sighed.

“Actually, there’s several places Terry could end up! But as I told you, he always comes back.”

“There’s enough wood in this place for it to burn it to the ground, kid.”

“Hello?” I shouted.

“That uh, isn’t someone from the group, is it?” The grumpier one asked.

“There’s a group?” Chino asked.

“No! Max, what are you saying?”

‘Max’ does not sound amused. “The two others we found.”

“We didn’t find them! They found us!”

“Whatever. Anyways, Who the hell are you two?”

“Three.” Alteca added.

“My point of ‘Whatever’ still remains.”

I came around the corner and saw the two that were talking. A relatively short kid with reddish hair and round glasses with green glass and a vest, and a taller kid with half white and half blue hair, a blue that nearly perfectly matched “Terry’s” blue flames, and well, matching eyes and tie.

The snake crawled up the blue kid’s arm, and rested on his shoulder.

“Okay, you three, follow us. We’re hoping we can find some explanations.”

“We also need explanations.” Alteca questioned.

“Great. As I mentioned, so do we.”

As we followed them, I saw two others. A girl with chocolate brown hair, but not like the one that was in the classroom. This one had a black mask covering her mouth. The other one was someone with light green hair covering their eyes.

“Alright, we found three more.” Max sighed.

“I thought you were going to find Terry?” The masked one asked.

“We were. He found them!” The blue kid smiled. I couldn’t help but think there was something off about it, though.

“Oh! Wonderful!” The green haired one smiled.

“Now.” Alteca started. “Does anyone here know what’s going on?”

“Not really…” The masked girl sighed.

“Well. As I was going to mention to Chino here,” He gestured to Chino. “I did find three pamphlets.” He took out three pamphlets, all saying “Meet in the main hall for 8:00 AM.”

“Hm. What time is it now, then?”

The blue kid looked for a watch on a wrist, that’s not there. “Huh? Last I checked, I had a watch here…”

“Well you don’t now. I don’t have any of my stuff.” Max said bluntly.

“Huh… I don’t seem to have my notepad either.” I added.

“Oh. I would have thought you noticed that long ago.” Alteca asserted.

“Well, no matter the case, we should probably be going there now…” The green haired one mumbled.

“Okay!” The masked one smiles, skipping away, to which we followed.

As we got there, we saw seven more people, and some closed vault.

What happens there? That’ll happen.. Next chapter! (im tired)

“Yo Minchi, didn’t you wake up with some other people?” We saw a girl in a ponytail ask.

“Oh, correct, yes. I should… go find them.” The chocolatey haired girl from before added.

“There will be no need for that, Ma’am.” I interjected, stepping towards them. “Apologies for the delay, is our assistance needed?”

“Oh!” A taller, black haired girl perked up. “The rest are here!”

“That makes 14.. Do you think that’s a good cut-off point?”

“Excuse me!” the blue kid shouted. “It’s fifteen!”

“Oh? Where’s the other one then?” The ponytailed girl asked.

“Right here!” he exclaimed, as Terry slithered out onto his arm.

“That’s a snake, genius.” some kid with messy black hair and piercing green eyes remarked.

“Yeah! So?”

The kid sighed. “Whatever. Do any of you know if there’s an actual person coming?”

“Excuse me!” the blue kid looked offended. “You don’t consider Terry to be real?”

“It’s a snake.” the same kid said deadpan.

“Yeah! So?” he looked quite upset.

“Okay, let’s not argue over the snake.” Alteca sighed, much to the blue kid’s resentment.

“Alright, so,” the ponytailed kid interjects. “How about we all introduce ourselves? May as well, right?”

“Alright.” I added.

And then, we started introducing ourselves. (Personally, I cannot be bothered to write the whole introductions (since it would take at least a chapter.) So, I’m going to just describe each of the ones Kyoko got an impression of:

“Ponytail girl”: Mariko, someone who gives me a bit of a trickster vibe..

“Chocolatey hair girl”: Minchi, quite quiet.

“Green eyed kid”: Drew, seems quite aggressive and stubborn.

Melody, seeming quite angry. Constantly.

Glasses-kid Max, Salty, but quite smart.)

The introductions were cut off by a loud voice coming through the loudspeakers.

“Hello, Hello! Testing testing 1,2,3! Is this thing on? Hello? Hello?!” it’s voice was strange, to say the least.

“Uh, Hello?” Drew asked.

“Oh! So it is on! Well then, Has everyone introduced themselves?”

“Not really.” I added.

“Well, get on that then! Chop chop! Once you’re done, please make your way to the gym!”

I looked at everyone there, everyone seeming to be in a confused daze.

“May I ask why..?” Minchi asked.

“Ugh, for the entrance assembly of course! You’re all new here, right?”

“Yeah!” The blue kid spoke excitedly.

“Good! Then get ready! I’ll expect you here at 8:30!”

The blue kid whispered “Uh, what time is it now?”

Everyone went to check their phones or watches, but no one had any on them.

“Huh. That’s strange…”

“Strange?! We were robbed! R O B B E D!” Melody shouted.

“Now that,” The speaker person spoke again “Is a bold claim! I simply… Confiscated it.”

“Really?” Max spoke, sounding as annoyed as ever.

“Yes, really! It will all make sense when you come to the GYM! 8:30! Don’t be late!”

What will happen in the gym? Find out next chapter!

We gathered in the gym slowly, sort of scared as of what will happen next. Well, Most of us were scared. I saw a blonde girl in a light blue dress, looking as happy as ever. Honestly, I envy that sort of optimism. But for the most part, I ignored her and headed straight to the gym.

As I was there, I saw everyone staring up at the stage with severe intent, to say the least. It’s as if they expected something to pop up there…

Well, It appears that thinking was correct, as we saw a little black and white teddy bear jump up and land directly onto the stand, with the “Crowd” being all in a chorus of “WHAT!?” and various-and-assorted.

“Now,” The familiar voice spoke. “I know what you’re all thinking, and no I am not a high-tech Build-A-Bear reject. I am the principal of this illustrious institution! Monokuma! Pleased to meet ‘cha!”

“Are you kidding me?! I’ve seen better at some playhouse with my sisters!” Chiro shouted.

“Young lady! Some respect if you please! Monokuma! Your principal!”

“This is weird…” I hear Mars mumble.

“Yes yes, like nothing you’ve ever seen before! Uncanny! Unsettling even! Yada yada, moving right along. Now all of you stand at attention! Give your principal the snappiest ‘Good morning!’”

“Good morning.” I speak clearly, still confused.

“Well, I guess that’ll have to do for now. Anyways, welcome bright young things to your new living quarters! Now before you get all uppetty, rest assured it’s for your own good! Mustn’t let the outside world throw some gasoline in your spark! We got to keep that freshness sealed in.”

“Hold on-” Mars speaks quickly.

“I don’t think so!” Chiko shouts.

“Now! You’re probably wondering how long you’ll be guests at our program! Approximately.. The rest of your lives!”

There’s a unified gasp throughout the gym.

“Oh yeah! By ‘New’ living quarters, I mean permanent living quarters!”

“You.. can’t be serious!” I hear Drew shout out.

“Ah, you don’t need to fret! Our budgets astronomical! All of your needs will be satisfied perfectly!”

“No! Just, No!” I hear Chiko shout again.

“Excuse me.” I hear Melody speak. “Those iron plates in our rooms.. Those are to shut us in?”

“Bingo!” The bear shouted. “You’re in for keepsies! Kick and scream all you want, no one outside will hear ya.”

“Excuse me.” I project. “It is not humane to keep us confined here for the rest of our natural lives.”

“‘Natural Lives?’ Ha! That’s rich. Actually, For those who wish to leave, there is a loophole! Not that you’d want to of course… you spent all that time getting in!”

“Enlighten us.” Alteca snapped.

“Good old fashioned murder!” The bear shouted while leaping forward onto the gym floor. “Yes! A student who kills a classmate, and gets away with it, will be permitted to walk out of here scott-free! Beat, stab, club, slice, torch, strangle, crush, curse! Know what you kids and a salmon have in common? Neither of you have the faintest notion how tingly the thought of you all slaughtering each other makes me! The best of the best, the crimmed of the crim! Forced into a course so free-for-all! Is there anything better?”

“This is insanity!” I hear the blonde girl from earlier shout.

“Insanity? Where do you get off talking to your principal like that? Love it or hate it sweetie pies, from here on out this school is your entire world! Dems the breaks!” He speaks while walking closer to the exit. “Look on the bright side! I’m letting you get away with murder! For reals! So stop whining and start plotting!”

“You want murder, huh?” Drew steps in front of him, and looks down menacingly. “You may wind up victim Number 1 with that talk.”

“Is that a threat? Are you going to rip me apart or something?”

“Don’t give me ideas.”

“Gah! School rules state no harm must come to the principal!” it says before going limp, and the red eye it has starts flashing.

“Uh, Drew…?” The blonde girl speaks. “Is everything okay there?”

“Toss him.” I cut through the panicked air with my words.

“What?” Drew asked.

“Just do it.”

He reluctantly tossed the bear in the air, and it exploded before it could reach him again.

“Uh, what was that?” Chiko asked, confused as the rest of us

“You’re lucky you tossed it…” The blonde girl spoke sheepishly. “If you kept it, it could have blown your face off…”

I smiled. “You’re welcome, then.”

“So, that teddy bear’s gone now. Great.”

“Not a teddy bear! Monokuma!” The bear speaks as it jumps right back on the stand. It appears to be a different one than before, but at the same time, exactly the same, memories and all. “Tada!”

“You… you…” Drew almost spoke, but was too shocked.

“Consider that a verbal warning, young man. Get smart with me again any of you,” The bear shows claws coming out of its paws. “and lets just say we forgo written warnings in favour of instant corporal punishment! This now concludes the introductory portion of your orientation, boys and girls! Heres to you all enjoying a fun, fulfilling but not exactly long life of scholastic enrichment here at Hopes Peak Academy!”

Everyone was left shocked, and no one spoke… Until I did, of course.

“So, If I understood correctly, if one wishes to get out of here, we must kill?”

“That’s terrible…” The blonde girl shivered.

It was around this time I noticed a boy looking not too far off from Drew- just a bit shorter with green eyes- Looking completely unbothered by this situation. But alas, I was distracted from my internal notes about him when Alteca spoke.

“It may be terrible, but one thing I’m thinking of still remains.”

“And what is that, exactly?” Max asked.

What he said left us all speechless.

“Is anyone actually considering listening to him?”

We were all speechless at Alteca’s statement… With three exceptions (Not including Alteca himself): The blue kid, Max, and the green-eyed kid. The blue kid and Max both looked indifferent, but the green eyed kid looked… like he was enjoying this? Everyone else was looking frantically at their peers, seeming to not be able to comprehend the thought that someone here was planning a murder. I looked around the room to see despair on all of their faces.. Except those tree.

“So? Anyone?”

“N...No! Of course not!” I heard Drew shout out.

“Well I mean, of course it slipped someone's mind at one point. The question is if they snapped out of it.” I heard Max mumble, but it appears no one else did.

“W..Well!” I hear the blonde girl from earlier shout out, as she runs to the stage. “No one, and I repeat, NO ONE is going to murder each other!” She bounces up and down.

“Easy for you to say, Charlotte.” I hear the green eyed kid sneer. “I don’t think you fully understand human psychology.”

“Well… I..I’m going to make sure no one murders each other…” She weakly speaks, almost shaking. “Now, can we take a few days to make sure there’s no other exit?”

“Few days?” Max chuckles. “I think that’s a few hours.”

“We cannot dismiss the possibility that there is an escape.” Alteca snapped.

“... Not trying to sound rude, but where did I say I didn’t believe there wasn’t an exit? I saw the stairs were blocked off, so unless there’s some elevator in that ‘Inn’ area, we only got one floor to deal with. There’s, what, 16 of us? I think this is a few hours deal.”

“I agree with Max.” I speak clearly. “There’s enough of us to cover the whole floor.”

“Yes! And… We can join up at th… the breakfast area every morning! How does that sound?” She looks excited and quite hopeful.

“That sounds excellent. Now please remove yourself from the stage, ma’am.” Alteca interjected.

“And if there isn’t an exit?” The blue kid speaks just a little bit too happily for the words he’s saying.

“It’ll be decided when the time comes.” Max sighs.

“Now, let’s not waste time. We should all start searching, correct?”

“Yeah!” Charlotte jumps up, running excitedly towards the door.

“Tell me if you need to search narrow areas!” The blue kid yells, pointing at ‘Terry’, before following Charlotte.

“Well, those two left rather quickly.” The green eyed kid sighed, with a light chuckle.

“It appears so.” I say as I approach him. “That reminds me, I never did catch your name. Would you mind telling me it?”

“And why would I do that?”

“I don’t think ‘Hey snake eyes’ would go over well if she needs to get your attention.” Max stated bluntly.

“Hm. Fair.” He nodded. “You may call me Sage.”

“Alright. I do need to ask the same thing to the kid with the snake, so if you’ll excuse me-”

“Don’t bother, it’s Danny.” Max said just as deadpan as ever. “Claims he’s the ‘Ultimate Snake Charmer.’”

“Hm. That might make sense, seeing the snake he has with him…” I mumble.

“Now now, let’s not get sidetracked. See, everyone’s already left.” Alteca adds, as he gestures to the now empty gym. “We do need to get a move on. Why don’t you two start with the ‘Inn’ area?”

“Yeah, sounds good. You two do that, I’m going to need to talk to the bear.” Max spoke, shrugging.

I then suddenly hear Mars speak. Strange, since they’ve been silent most of the ‘Entrance ceremony’. “Yeah, uhm… I probably will have to talk to him too.”

“Alright, you two.” I nod, as I make my way out of the gym.

I made my way to the “Despair Inn”, as the sign said. The first thing I saw was a blocked off room to my right, covered in caution tape. I look over to get a better look, and it appeared to be a bathhouse. Not very suspicious, besides the tape. I went to investigate further. Just a normal changing room thing. After I pretty much dismissed the possibility that there’s something in there, I looked to my right, and saw an open door. I made my way towards it and saw that it was a dining hall. A red checkered floor, not-so-fancy chairs and tables and a big window facing a balcony with a small forest, but without a sky. It was honestly strange. As I was there, I saw Drew there, investigating the glass.

“Yo.” Drew greeted me, not looking away from the glass.

“Have you been finding anything?” I asked, tilting my head to the side.

“Well, I found this thing.” He sighed, looking down. “Not…” he paused, seeming to realize something. He had an intense smirk, as he backed up, and climbed onto a table.

“Drew..? What are you doing?” I asked, staring at him.

“This could be an exit. Watch.” He made a running start, and threw his body onto the glass. I watched in disbelief as… Not a thing happened. The tall kid didn’t even make a tiny scratch on it. What he did leave, however, was a blood splat, where I’m assuming he broke his nose.

“Are you ok, Drew?” I asked, concerned.

“I’m okay.” Drew sheepishly said, obviously regretting his decision. “Well... Not a scratch…”

I see Charlotte bolt out from where she was, in a nearby room, towards Drew. “Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!” She shouts, obviously worried.

“I said, I’m fine. I’ve had worse.” He sighed, wiping the blood off of his face. “I should have assumed it was bulletproof or something like that…”

“You silly goose! C’mon… we need to at least get you a bandage!” She pouted, tugging on Drew’s shirt. “There should be a place in here where we can get one!”

“Really, it’s nothing…” Drew chuckled, being pretty much dragged by Charlotte. I won’t lie, it was quite an adorable sight. I figured I should wipe off the blood on the glass, best to avoid people asking questions. Until, of course, Alteca caught me in the act.

“Kyoko!” He shouted. “What are you doing? What happened?”

And then is when I realized, what I’m doing probably looks extremely suspicious. So I explained what happened, down to Charlotte dragging Drew out.

“Hm. I suppose that does make sense. Foolish move if you ask me, but, to each their own bloody mess.” He sighed, shrugging. “So, other than this, have you been able to find anything?” he started walking closer to me.

“Well, I did attempt to peek into the closed off room. It doesn’t look too important, though.”

“Oh yes, I went there as well. The bear himself was quite insistent that I don’t go in yet.”

“The bear, huh? Weren’t Max and Mars going to speak with him?”

As we were talking, I suddenly hear a sharp “Hey, Hey! My ears are burning!~” when I look to a nearby table, there Monokuma was, standing right on it.

“Great. You again.” Alteca sneered.

“Young man, that is no way to talk to your principal!” he stomped on the ground. “A little respect, please!” after that small shout, he adjusted himself. “Well, I was actually was going to round all of you up, but eh, too much work.”

“Why would you gather us, exactly?” Alteca asked.

“Oh, not much.. Just these babies!” He laughs, showing two devices that bear a resemblance to a strange iPad. “Tada! Student handbooks! A place for keeping the rules of this establishment, AND student info! All tucked into one little place! How’s that?”

“That’s interesting…” I commented.

“Well, that’s great! I had to make some last minute adjustments, so now they’re all ready to go! I have yours… Right here!” He points at the two he’s holding, before handing them to us. “They’re practically indestructible, so don’t worry about dropping ‘em!”

“Alright then… Thank you, I suppose.” Alteca noted, turning his on.

“Thank giddetty! That’s the most respect I’ve had all day. If that’s the record, then I really need to-”

“That is quite enough, Monokuma.” I interrupt.

“My point exactly!” He shouted, stomping on the table. “Well, I have another batch of these things to deliver. Bye then!~” In the time that it took for me and Alteca to glance at each other, he was already gone.

I turned on my handbook, and my name, Kyoko Taro. After a moment, it fades and it shows basic info about me: Height, weight, and.. chest? I’m just going to ignore that last one. After that, I noticed there was a segment called “Regulations.” When I opened it, I saw a set of, well, regulations. They were as follows:

“1: Students may only reside in the school. Leaving the campus is an unacceptable use of time.

2: “Nighttime” is from 10pm to 7am. Some areas are off limits at night, so please exercise caution.

4: With minimal restrictions, you are free to roam Hopes Peak at your discretion.

5: Violence against the headmaster Monokuma is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of security cameras.

6: Anyone who kills a fellow student will become “Blackened” and will graduate unless they are discovered during a class trial

7: Additional school regulations will be added if necessary

8: Only two specific students may enter both bathrooms. If someone besides these two are to enter the opposite sex’s bathrooms, they will be punished as necessary.”

After reading them all, I look to Alteca, who looks a bit confused.

“What is with the last rule? Surely entrance into the opposite sex’s bathroom would be punishable… but what’s with the two exceptions?” Alteca inquired.

“I am fairly sure they aren’t us, so I don’t think we should worry for now. Anyways, are there any places that hasn’t been investigated?”

“I’m not sure. Danny’s been investigating the trash room with his little snake.”

“That.. could be disastrous.”

Just then, as if it was cued from when we mentioned it, I hear a scream from the trash room...

We both run towards the source of the scream, our hearts racing out of our chests. It may have only been a few seconds until we reached the trash room, but it felt like an hour. We looked on into the trash room... Only to see what we all feared.

Danny, laying on the ground, his little snake wrapped around his neck, staring blankly into the ceiling. His snake had the most menacing eyes as it looked at all of us, thinking what I could only assume that we’re all its next victims.

We were all shocked at the discovery. All around us were screaming… except for Alteca and Sage. Frightened, I looked over at them to see why they were both so calm. Alteca looked quite disappointed...

“Alteca?” I asked, eyes still wide from the discovery.

“What.” He spoke sharply, not even moving his head, just darting his eyes towards me.

“He died, you know…” I spoke to him, not breaking eye contact.

He laughed in response, prompting all of us to look at him shocked. “No, he didn’t.”

“Aw…” I hear the ‘Corpse’ on the floor speak, seeming disappointed. “I swear, I almost got you guys!” He pouted but had a little hint of a smile as his snake slithered away from his neck.

“Danny!” Charlotte shouted, looking rather upset. “Don’t joke about that!” she slapped him hard after she finished yelling.

“Ow!” Danny cried croc tears in his eyes.

It’s at this point where all I can do just sigh and roll my eyes.

“See?” Alteca said with a smirk.

“Yes, I see clearly.”

As I scan the unhappy crowd, I notice something… or more, a lack of something. A lack of Sage and Max. I sure did see Sage in the crowd, but not Max.

“Well…” I sigh. “I don’t know about all of you, but I’m going to keep investigating this place.”

“I will too.” I hear Melody sigh. “I’ve had enough of this.”

I nod, and then we both walk out.

After a little bit of wandering the halls, I attempt to break the ice. “Well… other than that, display… how’s your search going?”

“Not bad. I noticed the red area is the living quarters, and every single room there has already been assigned to one of us.” She spoke as deadpan as ever.

“Oh, okay. Did you see anything else?”

“Well, I searched through mine... And it had a sewing kit with a map of the human body in it…”

“Huh..? May I see?”

“... Sure.”

She guides me to her dorm, having a sort of retro-style pixel art of her on the door. She opens the door, and I see quite a plain room, lined with red wallpaper. She guides me to a desk behind the plain white bed and opens a drawer beneath it. There was a little box, which when she opened it revealed it’s a small little sewing kit with a little flap under the lid. When she opened the flap, there was a small guide to the essential organs of the human body.

“Huh. That’s a little weird… do you know if anyone else has this sort of thing in their dorms?” I ask.

“Let me be the answer to that!~” I hear a familiar voice speak from behind us. I turn around, and my suspicions were confirmed. It was Monokuma.

“Oh! Hello there!” I speak with a forced smile it the bear.

“Hello!! I hear you’re a little confused about the whole sewing kit thing!~”

“Yes, we are…” Melody responds, looking at me a little confused, but for the most part, playing along.

“Yes!! Well, I’ll be extremely happy to inform you that you are NOT the only one with a sewing kit! You share that in common with all the girls in Hope’s Peak Academy!”

“Oh, that’s nice! May I ask about the human body map with it though?”

“Oh!! That’s to help with your graduation!~”

“Wait… you mean, murder?” I ask, taken aback by the statement.

“Yes, of course! I didn’t make any other deal of graduation, did I? Well, if I did, feel free to completely forget about it. The only way to get out of here is to get away with murder! I made it so easy for you, that I made a guide to vital organs that can be attacked with a sewing needle!”

“Um… okay then.” Melody nodded. “Now… If the sewing kit is only for the girls, what do the boys have?”

“Why don’t you ask a boy yourself? I bet they’d be pleased to show you their toolkit!”

“Oh, it’s a toolkit then?” I chimed in.

“Gah, I was found out… Well, Yep! There’s indeed a toolkit in every boy’s room! Without a map to the human body of course, since if they have any brains they’d know that just a swift blow from a hammer usually does the job!”

“Er… that’s a little messed up.” Melody added.

“Hey, do you want to graduate and live or not, sissy?~” Monokuma stressed, looking dead into Melody’s eyes.

“Yes, I do plan to survive... But…” Melody paused. “I… I have to go.”

I barely had enough time to glance to Monokuma before she bolted out of there.

“Ah yes, the good old ‘Situational awareness dash’!” Monokuma shouted, laughing. “What about you, Kyoko?”

“Huh?”

“Are you excited?~ You can get away with murder! For realsies!” He kept laughing. “I can definitely tell quite a few people got realllyyy excited~”

“Who?” I ask, sternly.

“Uh oh!! Gotta dash!” He left as quickly as he came, without even answering my question.

I sighed, somewhat disappointed. Did he really mean what he said? Was someone really excited to commit murder and get away with it?

My thought process was interrupted by the monitors turning on, revealing Monokuma sitting calmly on a chair and holding what I can only assume to be a sort of punch.

“Mm, ahem, this is a school announcement. It is now 10 p.m. As such, it is officially nighttime! Soon the doors to the dining hall will be locked, and entry beyond that point is strictly prohibited! Ok then… Sweet dreams everyone! Good night, sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite..~” And at that, the monitors switched off.

Everyone made their way to the dorms to at least attempt to get a good night’s sleep. I followed with them, making sure everyone knew where to go. Once everyone was in their dorms, I went to mine and fell asleep. I was so exhausted from everything that happened today, I just passed out almost instantly into a dreamless sleep.

I was awakened by the monitors turning on, and yet another dash of the familiar voice speaking.

“Good morning everyone! It is now 7 a.m and nighttime is officially over! Time to rise and shine! Get ready to greet another beeee-yutiful day!”

I stumble out of bed, quite disappointed this all wasn't just some bad dream. I reluctantly stumble to the dining hall to get breakfast and because Charlotte told us to meet there. When I arrive there, I see the girl with the mask, Alteca, Minchi, Mariko, and Mars sitting there, seeming to be discussing something about their findings, although as I listened further, they were discussing who was on trash duty.

“Good morning, everyone,” I speak through the crowd as I see Alteca and the masked girl look at me, the masked girl bearing what I can only assume is a smile.

“Oh, Hello!!” The masked girl shouts out. “How about you sit between me and Mars?”

I quickly go to sit where she requested since I honestly don’t really care much about where I’m sat at.

“May I ask miss... I don’t seem to have caught your name. Kiko, is it?”

“It’s actually Kyoka. I don’t think I got your name either. Mind telling me?” I ask her.

“Oh! It’s Asuka.” She said, smiling.

I look over to see Alteca shoving a probably unhealthy amount of nutella toast in his mouth. I was sort of confused, because for someone so serious… he has strange eating habits. Of course, that could also be me trying to keep my mind off of the “Graduation” using anything I could. As I look closer, I also see Mariko teasing Mars quite a bit. But, the major thing that catches my attention, is Charolette holding a plastic bag.

“Hello everyone!” She shouts in her usual cheery way. “Thank you guys for showing up to the first meeting!”

“It’s not a problem at all, Charlotte… I thought, even if some people forgot, they’d head here for breakfast anyways…” I hear Mars speak softly. “It does seem like that’s not the case, though.”

“Well, Beyond that, We’re all here. Personally, I find this ‘Killing game’ the bear’s making us partake in quite foolish.” I smile and nod at Mars and Charlotte. “I do plan to put an end to it.”

“Me too.” Alteca chimes in, with a small smile, but not saying much after that. Probabally because he has a mouthfull of nutella.

“Is anyone even paying attention to it?” I hear Mariko ask with a smirk on her face.

“Thank you… all of you.” Charlotte says with a smile, tears forming in her eyes. “I actually made something for anyone that actually shows up!” She rummages through the plastic bag she brought with her and pulls out little red hand sewn bracelets. She looked down at them, and then back at us, looking quite upset.

“What’s wrong, Charlotte…?” I ask.

“I didn’t really expect many people to actually come… so… I didn’t make enough for all of you…” She sniffled.

“Oh, that’s perfectly okay!” I smile at her as she passes what she has around, stopping at Mariko.

“I’ll make yours soon, okay…? I still have yarn in the bag...” She looks at Mariko, seeming quite embarassed, to which Mariko just giggled.

“Don’t sweat it, sweetie pie!” she said smiling.

“Thank you…” She wiped her tears with her hand. “Should I go see if anyone else wants to come?”

“That would be lovely, Charlotte.” I tell her.

“Yes! Tell them we need to organize things if we want to put this killing game to an end, before it even begins.” Mars smiled at her.

Charlotte smiled, looking just as determined as she was in the gym after the assembly, looking back at us over her shoulder. “I’ll be back soon, guys!” she says as she exits the dining hall still holding her plastic bag with the ball of yarn.

I smile at her, and then go back to talking to the others there. It’s mostly meaningless blabber while we wait for Charlotte to come back. While she’s getting the others, we see Chino arrive.

“Hey! Sorry I’m late, I sort of slept in… yesterday was exausting, am I right?” She smiles, chuckling a bit. “Did I miss the meeting…?”

“No! Charlotte’s just trying to get more people here so we can start it actually.” I tell her.

“Oh! I thought she was on trash duty…?” Chino said, tilting her head. “I saw her with a bag of rotton food…”

“That’s actually yarn.” Alteca corrected her. “Why do you suppose she was on trash duty?”

“She was going into the trash room, of course! You know, the same room where we saw Danny’s ‘Prank’?”

“Yes, I fully know which room you mean.” I say sternly.

“Guys… please… I think she was just looking for someone in there…” Mars speaks softly, almost a whisper.

“That makes sense.” Alteca nods. “Anyways, sit down, Chino. Hopefully the meal that I prepared for everyone is decent.”

“It’s literally bread with hazelnut spread on it.” Mariko tells him, judgingly.

“It’s Nutella, you uncultured swine.” He snaps at Mariko, slamming his fist onto the table.

“Woah, er, calm down Alteca…” Mars says sheepishly.

“Yeah Alteca! It’s just glorified peanut butter!” She says smiling, like she just pulled a prank.

“How about lets not.” I speak sternly.

“Aww, you’re no fun.” Mariko slumps in her chair, pouting like a child.

“Well, I dont know about you, but I’ll go see how Charlotte’s doing.” Alteca stood up from his seat.

“I’ll come too, if that’s alright.” I nod, slowly standing up too.

He chuckles a bit, seeming to understand that I was just trying to get away from Mariko’s nonsense. “Alright.”

We both make our way out of the dining hall, me being almost certain Mariko was sticking her tongue out at us.

As we make our way over to the trash room, we see Danny playing with his snake in the hallway.

“Hey Danny!” I shout at him, smiling and waving.

“Oh, hi!” Him and his snake turn their heads towards me. “Do you two need anything?”

“Yes, actually.” Alteca stated. “Have you seen Charlotte?”

“Oh! No, but I did see Drew run out of the trash room!” He said with a smile.

“Did Charlotte follow him?” I ask.

“What part of ‘No’ do you not understand, Kyoka?” He said with the same smile.

“.. touche.” I turn around, and see Alteca approach the trash room.

I follow him as he opens the door to see what’s going on. He looks to his left, and I swear I never saw a man that shocked. I look to see what the fuss was about, and… I saw something horrible… and I knew it was real this time. I didn’t want to believe it… but....
