Getting older gives more experience, I'm really not sure where you are coming from. You learn how to talk to people and how to deal with situations, which can help if you wanna be staff. Look you can disagree all you want @TimeLord but I'm right. Age is really important, you wouldn't want a 10yr old moderating a sever with people aged 15-17. See age is important.

Like I said before please @TimeLord lets not start a war. :)

I met a really great 10 year old I personally like the guy. Yea yea that whole growing up talk yet doesn't getting accepted do the same thing? I'm not disagreeing just because your right doesn't make me wrong either. Younger people can be mature and the staff team has done a fatastic job finding those lovely people.

10 moderating 15-17 year olds don't see your point because you only stated the situation not the outcome.

I'm not starting a war just a argument. If you want to stop then that's your choice not mine.

I have one yet your not willing to accept it. Then so be it IL stop arguing.

My argument was... age doesn't define us.

Seriously at least read it if your going to disagree.
 
Both of you stop, arguing isn't fit for your health. The thing is some younger kids can be mature but being older is better to have but as said before we would lose most staff and some people would lose interest and have to wait a certain age. Both of you are correct, as being young you can be mature depending on some factors, but also being older helps the cause of being mature. As I said before in my last message on this thread it should be changed to 14 maybe at least because 13 year old's can act a little bit like 12 year old's and be very immature.

I'm cool Wolf, I'm just not @TimeLord 's greatest fan and that's my own problem I told him to get back on subject. Also he seems to just love going around disagreeing with my posts. Anyway I've said my piece that I feel it should be changed.

Can I just point out that there has been 0 issues with the age limit, 0 issues with 13-15 year olds being staff and 0 issues about this topic up until this suggestion was made, like 13 year olds have been getting staff since this server was opened (I think) and many great staff members have come from it - Like Dizzeh, Mishiaa etc and saying 13 year olds can't moderate higher ages or aren't mature enough, well these staff members who have made it far can prove your points wrong.

Here's the question: Would you rather be staffed by people highly disliked by the people or generally well liked? The staff already sift through the troublemakers and those who deserve staffing.

Does it matter if they are well liked or not? Going to be honest here most of the staff are well liked. Yet does that benifit them in anyway for the position? It helps the server gain a liking yet not for their position. They can do their job fine without being liked.

Points depend on person to person. It might take a few days for some or couple of mounths for others.

Question 1, that's irrelevant. Just because someone isnt popular it doesnt mean theyre hated.
Question 2, I love your feeble attempt to throw shade at me about my points. It took me a few months to get to 500 BTW.

I don't care if everyone hates a staff member or not, as long as they do their job and are fair then I respect them.

There are far too many people who do not have the responsibility to become staff at 13 years of age. Maturity starts out at around age 16 in most people. Some staff (Some of them ex-staff), for I will not name for obvious reasons, were just not mature. Sixteen year olds typically are more mature than thirteen year olds, so why do we have moderators that are young and possibly don't have the right maturity level?

This is something that should be required. The staff are interacting with the community, so they should be well liked by the community itself before initiating people.

Okay, I don't think it would be good to up the age to 16, as you're then cutting out a lot of good potential staff, and the reason the rank "Helper" exists, and you don't go straight to mod, is partly to test your maturity. There are some people of 11-12 who could be mature enough and have to wait for the age (which I agree is fair). Don't up it even more, because as I said, you would probably be cutting out a lot of good potential staff.
"Be well liked by the community" isn't this one of the points of being a staff member? I mean, some people join to become better known by the community & becoming well known as a staff member means you're doing your job properly.
Not a hundred points, people will be sat for years trying to make that, 25 is fine!!!!
I agree with making it two months though.

We will not be implementing this as:

If people are immature and are 13, they will not be getting helper anyway. It does not depends on their age, a 16 year old could be immature and would still get denied.

As stated by multiple people, the network is already understaffed and the large portion of our staff team at the moment are 13-15 year olds if this was to happen there would be complaints of rulebreakers more regularly.

As you already know we have had respectable staff members who have applied at 13 and been staff for a long time without questioning their maturity.

"Being well liked within the community", this is not a fair thing to implement as some people don't necessarily talk much within the community for multiple different reasons (e.g as simple as being an introvert).

Also, you can be well liked by one set of people and disliked by another so how do you determine whether they are well liked as they have mixed reviews that doesn't mean they shouldn't receive helper.

Another point that was discussed is that our job as a staff member is not to make people like us, we are here to punish people who are doing things wrong.

If people do have a low amount of forum time they are less likely to get accepted anyway.
