Hey all... I am DaWolfyDaWolf, writer of Humans which died like my gender... cough... anyway Ashes of America is based on when Yellowstone volcano erupts and leaves a 3-year long winter... It is also bad there is a virus that's sending animals to insanity called Ios. Also the fact the 12 pre-adults go to a training base to prepare them for the outside world... Everything runs smoothly until the new person came, here comes the rodents.

Personality: Stubborn, brutally honest, sarcastic, snarky, sassy. Petty, quiet(?), a personality similar to my own.

Looks: Black hair, pale skin, grey eyes. She stands at around 5’7, has the physique of a runner. The appearance is similar to my old minecraft skin (you should remember).

Voice (How their voice sounds): Similar to mine, extremely British and low.

Character Type: Neutral or Rude

Abilities (climbing, skiing, shooting, fighting, comebacks): Best at comebacks, she can win any verbal fight through sassing. She is also a pretty decent long distance and short distance runner.

Backstory: Before the Yellowstone eruption, Wren moved to America from Britain. She lived mostly in New York but travelled around frequently. She barely survived the blast and has no longer whether her parents are still alive. Surviving the blast, she joined the group (mentioned in the story), while she doesn’t try to lead them, she has the knowledge and stealth to survive, a trait she tries to teach the group. However, her stubbornness and sharp tongue, she isn’t the most likeable.

Sexuality: Asexual biromantic

Likes: Running, writing, meditating and cooking.
Dislikes: Most people, if they’re loud, idiotic, cocky, etc.

Gender: Female

Personality: A quirky and cheery soul who is very innocent and naive. Sometimes air-headed. Sporty and creative. Very trusting which sometimes makes her vulnerable. Talkative and loud. She is very protective. However, she is very easy to upset.

Looks: A meif'wa girl, as seen here. Since it doesn't show this in the picture, she has a white tail with a pink tip and a blue bow.

Voice (How their voice sounds): High pitched and cheerful.

Character Type: Popular.

Abilities (climbing, skiing, shooting, fighting, comebacks): Climbing, Magic-involved fighting (although she is useless at combat without her powers) and cheering people up when they are down.

Backstory: After her sister, Raya, was killed by animals affected by the Ios virus, she had to deal with the stress of being without the only member of her family she had left. She finds a small village of people trying to protect themselves from the virus and steals tools, food and water before fleeing. She climbs trees and sleeps in the branches every night, hoping for someone to save her from her loneliness and depression. She has a picture of her and Raya with her at all times for good luck. After a long while, she had trained her telekinetic abilities. She journeyed onwards until she found the pre-training base. She often tries to sneak out to obtain fresh air, but then stops herself due to the fear she has of the infected animals.

Secret: The same as her backstory.

Sexuality: Straight.

Likes: Cute things, the colours blue and pink, blueberries and the picture of her and Raya she has on her at all times.

Dislikes: People who make fun of her in a way that relates to the problems she has faced in life and people who boast all the time. She is scared of all animals affected by the Ios virus.

Voice (How their voice sounds): calm, relax, sounds like in the 20's

Abilities (climbing, skiing, shooting, fighting, comebacks): Bow shooting and climbing.

Backstory: Hi my name is Jamie, but call me Jay. I hate being called Jamie. So it all goes back to that cursed volcano going off. I was the only one in my close family to live. I hardly survived. I came out weeks after it was done. I barely made it out of that basement, but when I did I saw my worst nightmare. It was freezing cold and snowing. It never snowed here .. So I went back down trying to find all the stuff I could, but it wasn't much. I was alone ... (1 month before) Article: Greg Harmth and Maris Harmth sent to jail for murder. ... (back to present) Now I stay at this base with some others, I don't tend to fit in, but I'm use to it.

Secret: I fear the rest will find out about my past, especially what my parents did.

Sexuality: I'm straight.

Likes: Mac and cheese, people, and animals.

Dislikes: Rudeness and disrespect.

Personality: Julie is super sweet in general. She’s also deep, emotionally, and knows how to remain calm, for the sake of others.
Of course inside, she’s actually holding a lot of anger, pain, frustration and sadness from her backstory, which can sometimes snap out, when her boundaries and limits are crossed.
She will do anything to protect people she cares about.

She has gray eyes, which are often mistaken with a dim blue, with fair skin, which has freckles splattered over. Her hair is a lovely brown shade. She’s quiet skinny, for unknown reasons, but she isn’t too bad. She’s quiet average.

Voice (How their voice sounds): Her voice is calming, she has an Irish accent, which is smoothly blended in.

Character Type: Whatever you think suits : )

Abilities (climbing, skiing,shooting, fighting, comebacks): Julie is an excellent climber, as she spent many times climbing mountains with her father, before the incident. She is also quite good when it comes to comeback, but usually stays out, unless she feels it’s necessary.

Backstory: Julie was born into a musical family, who encouraged her in so many ways, her family was quite big, but she was the youngest by a good few years. She had a good bond with the family, until her sister got into a car accident, and suddenly she was the girl everyone sympathized, acting as if she was depressed, and needed ‘extra help’ as she was young, and her bond with her sister was great. Due to all the commotion, her brain begun to process of horrific thoughts, which she later found out, was called ‘Intrusive Thoughts’.
Her family then moved to America, the land of so called ‘dreams’, to get more help for her sister, and to get away from the drama back at home.
They never looked back after that.
Once Yellowstone erupted, Julie barely survived and found herself the only one left of her family.
Once she grouped with the people, she’s been acting calm, but inside she’s taking in so much rage, and other emotions. And they’ve started snapping out since the new person joined...

Secret: No one knows her backstory, she’ll always change the subject, so no one actually knows her actual past. Very little people know her sexuality, and absoloutley no one knows of her dreams and aspirations...

Sexuality: Pansexual

Likes: She has a love for writing, and expressing herself through colours and emotions. She also loves to sing and play instruments, but it’s more of a hidden passion, as she has an insecurity about her voice, and fears messing up her pieces in front of others, even though she really is extraordinary when it comes to music.

Dislikes: She absolutely despises when others attempt to tell her what or who she is.
She also really has a distaste for people who make fun of her and others for being the way they are, and who they once were.
She also becomes really distressed when she sees how the animals have been affected.

Pandora is usually gloomy, and keeps to herself, but she means well. She does deal with depression, and tries to cope with it. She is prone to panic attacks and dislikes too much attention. She tries to be independent and not speak about her problems, but that doesn't go out well when she tries to hide away from others and cry. But besides that, she is a good person, and she'll do ANYTHING to make her friends and/or possible love interest happy and satisfied.

Pandora is excellent in more creative things, like writing and drawing. But she is great with climbing, and has a lot of stamina. She's not prone to violence, but she's especially strong in her arms.
Backstory:
Pandora was born into a family with two mothers. She was the only child, but she was meant to have a twin who died before birth. She was never the social type, and often stayed by her parents, things got worse when she was introduced to schooling. She was bullied constantly and considered an "outcast". When the volcano erupted, her parents didn't make it, but she surprisingly did. She was found and brought to the base where she often recalls the memories of her late mothers.

She's obviously depressed, but she just wants a friend, someone to be there for her like her parents were.

She is often doing something artsy, so it makes sense if it's something she likes. She does love to sing, but not around people. She likes to be around others, though she never says it.

She hates the truth, her past, and pretty much herself. She doesn't want to be left behind and be forgotten. She tends to freak out if seeing spiders or moths.

Personality: Luis likes to suggest things. He's a rather innovative fellow. However, there may come times where he can't put his idea in words; unfortunately this tends to happen in high pressure scenarios. But when times come that people need to think outside the box, he'll stand back and dwell on possible solutions to the problem at hand.

Aside from that, he likes to think he'll put his friends first but tends to stick to the back of the pack and will run if the situation is too dire. However, if he can help he will, using what's around him to aid him in helping.

Looks: He has mid-length, glossy, black hair neatly organised to follow his hairline (I apologise for my terrible hair describing ability). His black spectacles sit comfortably part way down his nose and cover his dark blue eyes. He wouldn't describe himself as an athlete but he does keep his fitness levels in check.

Voice (How their voice sounds): He has a heavy French accent, and he has a tendency to mumble.

Character Type: Friendly

Abilities (climbing, skiing, shooting, fighting, comebacks): As described in his personality, he's an innovative person. But as for skills, he has a good amount of knowledge when it comes to knots. Given a piece of twine or rope, he could tie a knot that would fit many different situations.

Backstory: Growing up on a farm in Burgundy, France, he's been surrounded by landscape since a young age. His father taught him how to work the land while his mother taught him how to sell and barter. Both skills became ever increasingly helpful as he grew older, his parents asking him to help more and more with simple tasks. His family moved to America when to look for new opportunities, settling a year before the volcano erupted.

Secret: He likes to keep his cowardice hidden, shrouding it in a fake bravery.

Sexuality: Bisexual

Likes: Being around a small group of people, being heard

Voice (How their voice sounds): Deepish but is resonably fast, It increases in pitch and speed depending on how panicked he is vise versa for when he is angry. He also has a British accent but not that heavy.

Character Type: Smart Kid

Abilities (climbing, skiing, shooting, fighting, comebacks): He is Skilled in the art of Lying and Sleeping as well as being a Good Fighter with a Hooked sword (Khopesh) and a good archer. He is also very good at martial arts. He also enjoys long distance running not so much short.

Backstory: He was born in Cairo and has always been very skinny. His mother died after he was born so he was left with just his father who was an architect so they would always be travelling around the world. therefore as a kid he didn't have any friends and never had a permedent home. When he turned 11 his father settled down in his home country (America) and they stayed there for awhile untill he fell ill with cancer and died when Loki was 12. After his father died Loki lived in the alley ways and Streets of America gaining lots of knowledge from reading several books a day in the local libary. Loki also learned to fight for him self and taught himself how to steal food and parkour so that he could get away as fast as possible if he was ever caught. This all changed however when he was cornered in an alley...

Although he tells everyone that it's just the norm.

Secret: That he is actually very secretive himself but just acts out going as a way to mask his true self and backstory.

Sexuality: heterosexual

Personality: calm in nearly all situations. Is mature and hardly ever smiles. He is nearly always independent and is a ambivert. He hardly talks and is a very low chance he would open up to you. Since he is mostly silent (only speaks when asked or when has a strong opinion) people normally find it easier to talk to. He hardly ever gets in an argument with someone but his glares can be terrifying (staring into your soul muhaha).

Looks: he has brown hair that goes to his cheek with bags covering most of his right eye. Green eyes and pale skin. Wears a gray, short sleeved shirt with a white hoodie, nearly always has hood up, with black trousers and black trainers. Just above average height. Always carries his light gray backpack

Voice (How their voice sounds): very calming, slightly deep.

Character Type: Calm

Abilities (climbing, skiing, shooting, fighting, comebacks): Fighting, mostly defence.

Backstory: NO ONE KNOWS!! he grew up mostly alone, his mother died at age 7 and has been raising hisself since then. He went though a super rough time leading to depression and anxiety but has learned to hide it very well and cope with it so he can help others easier.

Secret: he still suffers with deptession and anxiety but has medication in his backpack for it. He also has scars on his arms from cutting years ago.

Sexuality: Straight

Likes: Helping, Listening, milk chocolate, most people

Dislikes: bullies, inequality, arguments, dark chocolate.

Extra info: he always has chocolate in his bag and snaps little pieces of and eats them to also help cope with whats happening (his depression/anxiety).

Secret: After having a homophobic family and feeling the result of it, he's extremely insecure about people discovering his sexuality and would be willing to pay someone to keep them quiet.

Please calm down. I'm sorry I thought about my choices all day at school if you could just edit the personality and the looks part: "shrinks away from situations he doesn't like" to maybe "when making fun of people, he grows taller." <3
