So I've decided to finally post this because, well, I've been warned twice for Necro Posting (Not specifying WHO warned me.) and I didn't know the posts were old, so once a thread hits the 2-week mark, there will be an alert at the top & bottom of the post to alert you that you will necro post. Pretty simple to me.

actually i think that would be pretty useful. sometimes im unsure if a thread is too old to comment on, so i just end up leaving it alone, even if it wasnt to old to comment on. +1

The necro posting rule doesn't apply to some of the forums (I think, but I may be wrong about that) and some of the ones it does apply to are locked when they hit the (like the general forum). Another thing, it actually says in the rules that you can't if it's a 2 week gap.

Neutral for now.

Prqy, bumping basically means reviving it with a comment...

I know what bumping means. If you bump a post, you reply to it, so the rule still applies

Oh.

I believe that having this would be a great feature. Sometimes, you post without checking if the thread has gone cold and you are warned for it. Accidents like this wouldn't happen if threads warned you about this or just auto-lock. +1

I thought you left?

And yeah, this issue has always been confusing. Some thread categories get auto-locked when they're inactive for 2 weeks, but other times they're not locked and people get warned for it.

I did leave cus of mental health and all dat jazz but I'm back now yeet yeet.
Anyway, yeah. It's really confusing, it would probably help if it was explained somewhere but I can't really find anything.
