Okay I'm gonna object to this:
Can we just have the /seen command? It also shows the last username of the player.
I haven't been on here since 2016 or 2017 (can't remember that much), that player could've changed their username multiple times while I was gone so then I'd have to keep asking them to go further back in time and then they'd link me to their NameMC right after 2 times of telling me their couple of recent usernames.
/history is
completely helpful you'll go on NameMC anyway to check their
full history of names that they had. The only difference, is that
you are doing it in game. It's basically
NameMC IN-GAME.
A lot of people are saying:
"What if they don't want it to be seen?"- Well according to NameMC's info section:
"Mojang has stated that it is their intention that previous usernames can be seen¹, and they have provided a method to allow the public to access this information.² This website is meant to be a reference tool with the goal of having the most complete and accurate name information possible. Therefore, name information will not be removed from this website, and any requests to have name information removed from this website will be ignored."
It doesn't matter, even Mojang stated itself that usernames are meant to be seen through NameMC anyway to have access to this information. I don't know why this reason is pushing away this great idea to be implemented.
"But staff don't want to give it to us for a reason."- If they don't want to show it to us for a reason, what is the reason? I see nothing harmful about this command being given to players as a useful resource. What is your "purpose" for only keeping it as a staff command? Again, this is really confusing me since it's not as OP as people think it is and I really would like an answer to this one by
@Kirstree or someone who is in charge of giving the staff team specific commands on what to do. Because I'm getting answers with no specific information on why this is supposedly a staff only command that guest/donors aren't allowed to use, even near the future.
