So, I asked recently about genders, and why there was Male, Female and Other.
So, here's my suggestion.

GENDER CUSTOMIZATION:
Of course, we'll keep the simple Female and Male. But we'd also get the option like:
Custom..

with custom, you could type in a gender, helpful for non binaries, demis and others.
You could also customize it to make it how you want it!

"PRONOUNS" CATEGORY
So, this would be optional but you could choose your pronouns, or type them.

edit: there WOULD be a filter for it.

OR, they could add a longer list of genders to avoid anyone putting their gender as something against the rules. But your way works too, staff just have to keep an eye out for another thing.

I understand some religions are against it, but I'll dm you and explain from how I see it. It's your choice to believe or not. I'd never force you to believe something.

As time goes by, people decide that they don't suit their own gender so they decide to come up with their own or switch to the opposite gender.

I would probably set my gender to panda if I had a choice. I like the idea of having something unique in that spot or just general confirmation for anyone curious. If people do put something bad for it, it can always be reported and altered by a staff member. +1 if XenForo supports this

they could just ignore it? it doesnt affect people who don’t believe in more than 2 genders because they don’t have to change theirs if you know what i mean.

i think it would benefit a lot of people and make them feel more comfortable in the server if they don’t have to go by ‘male’ ‘female’ or ‘unspecified’. some people are quite open about their gender and it’s hard if you can’t show people who you are since it won’t come up if you put unspecified. people can be open about it on the server, what’s different about forums?

It honestly depends on the person. If the person is comfortable with revealing their gender and sexuality then that's great for them. However, if someone would rather not then they really don't have to.

If the person isn't comfortable with it they can choose not to show their gender on their profile. Although I myself know a lot of people who share their gender publically.
