Ready, Set, GO! Baseball!
Two weeks later.
The team lost their last game.
The nerves got to Max.
Now they have another match. In two weeks.
"Look over there." His finger highlighting the last base. "Run around all the bases until you get there. Then the team gets a point. If they stump the next base that you're running to with the ball you hit, you're out." By now, his eyes were closed and deep in to his explanation; when he opened them, dust flew around the path. The remains, a girl, face flat on the floor, right by the fourth base. Her hand lifted.Two weeks later.
The team lost their last game.
The nerves got to Max.
Now they have another match. In two weeks.
"HOME RUN!"
Dust dropped off of her. She brushed herself off as she sat upright. She held her leg out, supported by her hand. Turning to her left and noticing that Max was running over, she quickly dropped her leg and sat in the same position. Giving a thumbs-up and smiling;
"Home run!" She repeated. Max sat down aswell.
"Not quite, you need to get to the final base. This is inbetween the last two bases" he pointed at the two spots.
"Hey!" she shouted. Max wasn't looking at her when she did shout, but turning to look at her afterwards, she was holding a book-- wait.. WHERE'D SHE GET THAT FROM!?
BLAM
"Look!.. It's the moon!.. The Earth is.. spinning.." Max twirled in circles. A book-shaped mark on his forehead. Liliana twirled her leg around; smiling. She got up and dragged Dazed Max back down to the school.
"Hey, Guys!" Cooper stood up and waved at them from their lunch table. Donovan shyly and subtly waved to them aswell. Carver glared at Max fiercely as he and Liliana made their way to the table. Max held his head in his hands and stared at Liliana.
"What kind of a book was that!?" Max looked up, obviously still dazed.
"A novel." She laughed. Pulling a Henry Popper and the Deadly Shallows novel out of nowhere, then putting it in to her purple galaxy backpack.
"You hit him over the head with that?" Donovan asked. Liliana nodded.
Max lifted his head up and slammed it against the table again. Making a big noise. Carver slammed his fist on his table, making a louder noise. Max lifted his head up and brushed his hair back, looking back at Carver. The whole cafeteria was silent.
Carver stood up and slowly walked over to max. His wolf ears twitched and his ear piercings clanged. "We've got no chance of winning that game, Max. Just like the last one." Carver stopped walking and stood where he was. It was still silent. Deafening silence. Max looked at him, confused.
"All because of you, Max." Carver grinned with sharp, slightly yellow fangs as he tilted his head. Max's face turned gloomy, he leant his head down. Liliana stood up, pulling a small flower keyring from her bag. She held it out in her hand to Carver. She smiled.
"Have it, It's yours, Take it and leave us alone."
"Ha!" Carver took the keyring from her hand. "Childish girl, did you really think I'd leave you along after-- a--- a---! --ACHOO!!"
Liliana tilted her head and grinned. "Childish boy, did you really think I didn't know about your allergy?"
Carver looked at the small tag on the flower keyring. 'Flower Scented - All new, Fresh, and ready for summer!'
"Boom." Liliana grabbed the keyring and fastly clipped it on to his wolf ear with his piercings.
"A-A--A----CHOO!" Carver sniffled. "Crap!"
"Pika Pika....!" Max taunted, "AAAACHOO!!" Carver sneezed. The cafeteria bursted with laughter. Cooper and Donovan were in shreds.
Carver ran off to the bathroom, sneezing and coughing, his face a blurry red.
"Did you not want your keyring back?" Donovan asked softly, still giggling a bit from the sudden comedy.
"No, it's OK. Carver can keep it." She smiled and chuckled a bit.
Max sat up properly. "How did you even find out about that, anyway?"
"My dad is part of a secret agent company. I told him about Carver and he got all of his info." She laughed. "I must've picked the most subtle detail about him in his entire file."
"TELL US EVERYTHING!" They all leant across the table to her.
