"He's Okay.." The nurse tapped the glass, baby gourney with her nails. Inside was a baby boy, wrapped in blue cloth.
"The mother sure as hell isn't." The doctor was stressed to death; "Gone. They can't save her. It's been half an hour. With her case, I'm not surprised. Poor lad." He looked down at the baby.
"The father? Where is he?" Another nurse put down her clipboard and tried to shoosh the baby as it started to wail.
"Gone, long before he was born. He didn't even know that he was gonna be a father. Sorry to say - but this one needs to go in to care. We have no information on the parents, and both are gone. If this one has any other family, there's no trace of them."
"I'll get on the phone to the orphanage" The first nurse replied, walking out of the room. The nurse who was shooshing the baby frowned.

Max walked over to his bed. He flattened the baseball covers from when he woke up, put on a tight baseball shirt, some tracksuit shorts, and took off his baseball cap and flung it like a frisbee to the hanger on his wall by the door. Got in to bed, despite the constant pounding on the door. The one thing Max didn't take off to go to bed was his pendant. He never understood them. Everyone had them.
Kids get born two at a time in the world. If you live near eachother, that's lucky. In history class, they were taught that whoever has the matching peice to the pendant is your soulmate - they don't have to love eachother as in "couples" and "marriage", they can just be friends if that's what suits them best. In Max's case - he doesn't believe such things. Pfft. Ancient "Prophecy". What has history ever done for the future? Especially for Max. Parents dead. Lives in an orphanage since he was 2 weeks old. Now the football jocks are trying to break his door down. That happens often. Max likes to call the recurring event "Baka Smash!"
Max twirled the chain of the pendant. The pendant was star-shaped, and it said "You M St" but since his "soulmate" will have the other half, he's guessing it's surposed to say "You're my star".
(at this point i took a little break and then when i came back to sit in my chair i sat back down so hard that my chair (which is on wheels) nearly tipped all the way back, bearing in mind there's a wall behind me with a radiator. *applause*)

Thank the lord. The pounding had stopped outside his door. Max grabbed his red and black tie dye backpack that had a baseball bat sticking out of it. He'd slept in. His time to go to the chatroom was wasted in bed. He'd have to wait until Lunch time to talk to Eliana again. She lives in Kamakura. Kamakura is a beach town an hour south of Tokyo. Max lives in Tokyo. They've always wanted to meet eachother, and have known eachother online since they were 6. They've been penpals since then. 8 years. She's a gamer. So is he, but he's also into sports. He's the baseball team's best player, and player of the season. Eliana asked him to teach her how to play baseball when they meet. Max's backpack had a baseball bat sticking out of the zip. The team had to bring their own equipment. Luckily, since he lives at the best orphanage in the world, he gets a lengthy allowance per week, and gets to keep whatever is left behind. He goes grocery shopping now and then, and he goes shopping for clothes pretty much once a year. That's why he wears tight baseball shirts for bed.
"Max!" A guy with pale skin and short brown hair waved Max over to him and another boy.
(If it's Ok here, im gonna edit Fox's character a bit to have a wolf tail and ears (so there's animal people, cats, foxes, wolves))
"Hey Cooper, Hey Don." Max walked over to Cooper and Donovan. All the kids at the school wore a gray blazer with a red and white tie, and a blue shirt. Girls wore skirts while boys wore grey trousers, slightly darker than the blazer.
"And I thought we'd be late." Cooper turned to his left, his arms folded. Cooper's pendant glistened. It was a cross, with "Wh i wor hav i wo sacrif fo"
Donovan's was a fox shape with "W ar Al I A Fo Tri I M Ey"
"I got stuck with Donovan jumping all over the place, on the walls, through windows, he's crazy about parkour. And then he never shut up along the way." Cooper glared.
"Uh, Not true." Donovan tried to look away from Cooper's glare. Nobody can escape.
DING-DONG-BING-BONG~
"1st period.." Don's eyes sqinited.
"Great." Max looked around at everyone going inside.
"Rumour on Snapstagram is that there's a new girl." Cooper squinted at Don and Max. Hinting on.
"Hopefully she's in my class." Don grinned. Max wasn't interested
