Will the server be ready for username changes?

Hi there! I was wondering if the server will be ready for username changes when they come out. I want to change my name but I really don't feel like sacrificing my rank and VIP for a new username.

I think if you change your name, if the rank doesn't go there automatically, they'll give it back after confirming you're yourself?

So, If were confirming it, Do we just go on the fourms, and say Hey, Im [Inster_username] Can you give me my [Insert_Rank_Name] To this account? Thanks, what if the fourm account was hacked, but when we change the usernames, You know how it says
" Minecraft username: " Wouldn't they use that?

I don't know. Maybe the perks from their old name will go to the new one?
 
They said that when (if they release it) all stats, bans, mutes and etc. Will be carried with the new username. So you should keep everything.

No, I read the Mojang it's like a code you have for your account, and people were questioning if you were banned from a server would you be unbanned if you changed your username, no, because each account has a thing tot ell them that;s an account, I know it's confusing but it isn't just your username to provide you are who you are. You will be who you are.. so you will still have ranks it's fine.
 
Don't they have to do something with UUIDs or whatever? Like make the server UUID compatible?
 
The server updated to UUids can't wait to change mine

UUID's where introduced in 1.7.6 like gigo said.
