Why you should listen to players in chat. [Specifically you, Staff.]

The following is a skit.

Mod> Hey! Skincomp at /warp Halloween!

Me> Oh I should come.

Staff> Ok y'all go down.

-2 Hours Later-

Me> This is becoming a large waste of my time...

Mod> YoU'rE eLiMiNaTed.

Me> Damnit why don't you understand that my skin is detailed, and I at least tried, and you don't understand you wasted 2 hours of my life? God, I'm gonna go to the forums and post about this.

And that leads us here.
In complete spite I might have been eliminated legitimately, the staff took 2 hours to decide who would be eliminated on the first round.

And little does anyone know, people losing a skincomp think: "Oh god. My skin is bad. I HAVE TO CHANGE IT.".
The MCPZ staff is always funny, but sometimes they're funny in sirius things, like me telling them to please acknowledge I am standing here, in a 1x1 column, alone, and trapped inside. And I was literally braindead.

So yeah, I honestly don't feel like I should be on MCPZ due to the overly charismatic/funny Staff.
Please enforce your staff rules, and yet I understand this server is supposed to be fun, and airheaded, the Staff go a bit overboard. This is just my opinion.

First off, if you have a problem with the current staff members create a staff abuse report instead of making threads like these as reports.

Secondly, staff try to make the server an enjoyable place for everyone. Sure, it can be long for a skin comp just because they’re trying to get players to vote.

Thirdly, you shouldn’t be accusing the staff about this as the players vote for who should be eliminated; the staff just announce it. I’m not trying to be rude, if this message comes off as rude and disrespectful; simply just trying to clear things up.

Other than this, I do hope the other part of your day went well. I’m sure you have a beautiful skin and you shouldn’t change it over a skin-comp. If you have any issues or problems, you can always come talk to me ‘cause I’ll always be there.

Having PartyZone with staff that know when to be serious and want to make it more of a welcoming place is a good thing. The skin competition is an example of us wanting players to have fun with the staff. We can't control how many people come to the skin competition, which is why it took awhile. Staff are the same as any other players, so how is our skin competition for the /warp Halloween different from another persons? We're still people but we're here to enforce the rules. If you feel like a staff member is going too far with something though, you can always create a report here.

Skin competitions are meant to be fun and it's always the persons choice to join or not. Getting eliminated does not mean you have a bad skin at all.

First of all, a skin competition is a compeition of player's opinions. It's not actually the staff who decide, and it's not the event team either. Players vote on who should be eliminated and, as an event team member and someone who has hosted the Halloween skin compeition, we aren't biased or unfair. Secondly, there can only be one winner. No matter who wins, someone will think they deserved it more.
