like kinda. "a senpai" is anyone considered higher social status but doesn't outright outrank you - someone who is more experienced or is older,but you wouldn't consider your parents or your boss to be senpais.
the concept of "your senpai" however would be a senpai who you specifically look up to and revere or adore
