first of all these are MY OPINIONS and I could care less if you agree or disagree.

Hello. *I* joined minecraft in July of 2015.
July 5th, 2015 to be exact.
I remember me installing Minecraft to the home computer. I was around 8-9, and I was SO excited. I looked up good servers to play on, and Minecraft PartyZone kept popping up. Finally, I decided to join in August of 2015. That was my FIRST ever server I ever joined in minecraft. I logged on, and I got a few people messaging me, "Welcome!" If I remember right, all there was - was well, Creative, Murder and Skywars.
Best
Games
EVER.
Most were classic as hecc aswell. But like I said, creative was full of rps and events, it was great. Staff were more social, they'd teleport to people sometimes, ask how you were if you said a frowny face, it was the best. People really honestly cared. I remember the people I looked up to were:
@Dizzeh @MorphicDream @Etgo @TriSarahTops and @gigosaurus. I thought (and still think) they were(/are) SO cool. If you don't remember me, I was PuppyQueen9128, a cringey girl with bad skins. I don't know how my life would be right now if I hadn't found PartyZone.

Sadly, I think Party Games is what's ruined partyzone. Around when ditto came out, players died down and stopped coming.

Rps died in early 2017.
It - It's sad.

people who i met and love on PZ:
@hqte_ @Benvy @CocaColeh @RedHatesBlu @Nerdehh @Etgo @LeilaAndStitch @Miss Nevermind @MaeTheSharkle

I mean party games only added to the games people could play so not sure how it could ruin PZ. Ill be honest Ditto is not a great game. There are still rps we just have a command for them now so you dont spam public chat, trust me there are so many rps going on its unbelievable. Also I do remember you :p

Rps dying? Aha, you wish. Your a staffu at my rp so I don't know what your talkin about~

It wasn't party games... I know that for fact...

My theory is that it took too long to get too much full game content out... people slowly lose interest. Any new traffic is repelled away sometimes because they can only consistently get into two gamemodes, because that's what most people play. Every so often DG and splatter games pop up, but the lack of playable content due to lack of players in the content may be leaving bad tastes in the mouths of new players.

To revitalize PZ, new games are needed, and therefore we are getting new games, plus another batch of YT'S to boost coverage, even for a few days, that'll bring the momentum back.. I hope...

Like I said.... Here.

These are my opinions and if you want my honest feedback, I don't really care that you know it for a fact hon.

Well I been here since 2014 so I think my opinion on this is quite valid.
First of all, PZ has a big player base the server can hold 1500 and we are getting around 300-500 players, that's still quite a lot. The problem is though people don't stay, people don't get on Teamspeak as seen by the numbers and they don't lie. The big problem is the advertising, and I have said this before the advertising when PZ started was great, games were full most of the time. But I feel recently advertising has been a bit lackluster. I'm not sure if this is a money issue or if it's being worked on, so I'm just gonna tag @MorphicDream as he may have some ideas about it.

Any chance you can tell us about PZ's advertising? Might help us know what's going on.

No matter what, people will lose interest in things, even with change. A lot of the player base from 2014 (I myself being a 2014 veteran feel I have the proper knowledge to factually state that) has moved on and was filled in with the newer ones, those being generally younger than the original audience (which is fine!) but with younger kids, their interests span over a lot of servers. PZ is not a major network compared to so many other servers, but is its own tight-knit community. My guess is that people just got bored of PZ itself, not just the games, as I've known many users (including myself) who rarely even hop onto the server or Minecraft in general.

Your damn right like usual absol

I don't think it's just the player base that's falling, but the whole minecraft community. You kinda can't blame them, people grow up and loose intrest in things, especially since mc has been out since 2009, the're new "better" games starting to come out. I don't want this to happen but we can't help it, the staff are trying their best at keeping it alive..

But their is some hope. I used to play on another server AGES ago, like 2+ years back now. it had A LOT of people playing it, went away for a year and it completly changed. Only around 20-30 people came on, and I become regulars like them, went away for 2-3 weeks and literally only 1-3 people came on. I thought it died forever, I lost interest. I saw a couple of weeks ago it's picked up 10-20 maybe 24 people came on this server.. So yeah have hope..

Half the issue is the advertising the other half is the lack of developers. The first time PZ launched we were very lucky to have upcoming youtubers come to our network that boosted us a lot. Not many upcoming youtubers do minecraft and the major ones usually want some sort of $$$ just to do a video on the network. All the developers are working on not just games but other things over the network, we can only do as much as we can do really. Minecraft is taking a bit of a hit with less players etc but look at the huge networks, they are managing to hold tens of thousands of players and make enough money to not only stay alive but also make profit. PZ often dips in numbers over the year, we can only do what we can do with the developers we have.

is this legit *Looks at tab right now*... fml I just crashed.. Too many people

There was a faze where we didn’t have any new content, which may have led to people getting bored of the network, and during that time a said big network made a new game similar to our murder, Players over here on Pz found it and were like “I like this game” which led to them leaving Pz to play that game more. I too am from 2014 and I can definitely see a difference in the playerbase, I remember when we were getting over 1000 players on at once, lowest amounts would be around 400. Obviously there are many reasons why this has happened as stated by Morphic (Advertising, Youtubers etc.) as well as Minecraft itself loosing players as like Pz, other games are being created elsewhere which some may find more interesting to play than minecraft.

Well I personally don't think that Party Games is what caused the number of players on Party Zone to reduce. I think that it might have just been a coincidence that it was around that time that some players faded away.

it's evolving

I being a member of this community since good ol 2014~ish have seen people come and go and many changes happening. When I first joined I was waiting for me to get older so I could be 13 and apply for staff and i was for some reason Obsessed. But over time, I lost interests, mostly of this year and I think that back then, I kinda had an Ego of some sorts which was because of PZ. In 2015 to early 16, I was for the most part, a pretty well known player, but then I just fell as new people came and rose up to take my place and some Drama happened. I mean, I once knew someone who was just a vip with not much friends. I joined him on TS and we, along with my other friend, grew really close, but for some reason, when I had to take a break for a week, it all changed. But thats off topic and a story for another time and back to PZ. I really think that games arnt the cause, more so players with drama and old members leaving and new people coming. Ive meet so many people because of PZ and I have notice them change and some loose interest. Now Ive lost interest of MC and PZ As stated before, Old players got bored, and PZ just in my opinion has gone a little down hill.

as someone who lived through those trying times of 2014-2015, don't.

the server has gotten better tenfold since then, it's just got a lack of players as from before.
