What happened to infection

There used to be an old game on this server and I really liked it. What happened to infection?

I'd like to see infection back, although I can't remember the mechanics of the game well enough to create a thread about it... Honestly most of what I remember was villagers? and zombies running around a map with some giant trees on it xD

If I remember correctly it was that you were villagers who had to run and escape or hide from the zombies and if they caught you, you would become a Zombie who then have to do the same thing until only one person remains, you could also use power ups like zombie disguise, weapons to fight off zombies and more (May not be correct)

Infection was removed along with Factions due to map corruption and it just being too much of an issue to fix it easily. It wasn't as popular as other gamemodes when it was around, like SG, Sky Wars, and Murder, so it was scrapped I believe.

Basically you spawned in an area, and someone was randomly selected to be a zombie. You had about a minute to run and hide as villagers, and you hid around the map. You had a long amount of time to try and hide and survive. If you were touched, you were turned. You could have kits, such as an item which gave you boots to speed up on, or other things like weapons I believe.

I remember, Infection was the reason I joined this server.

Infection was removed in the early years of PZ, somewhere around July/August 2014.

Yes, it was removed a very, very long time ago however.

I miss it, I played it like twice on my alt with HGS who actually introduced me to it
