PartyZone Build Battles!
What is Build Battle?
Build Battle is an intriguing and strategic event in which players race against the clock to show off their creativity! Players are given 15 minutes to compete against each other to create the most amazing and fascinating builds, giving them a chance to win a prize! All rounds are assigned their own individual theme to help vary the competition.
When and where is Build Battle?
Build Battle commences every Sunday, at 2pm EST (7pm BST), at our very own /warp buildbattle! Hosting the battle are members of our wonderful Event Team.
How do I participate in the competition?
At the beginning of round 1, a question is asked. To take part in round one you must, as quickly as possible, answer this question correctly in chat! The first 4 players to answer the question are the successful competitors for round 1.
Players competing in round 2 are pre-chosen by the host!
Round 3 is similar to round 1; you must answer another question correctly in order to join in! However, there’s a twist! Round 3 is in teams of 2!
Twists
Sometimes, our build battle hosts will shake things up a bit by adding twists to build battle, some twists are as follows;
Block Limitations
During these rounds, the hosts will limit you to certain block types, or blocks. You will have to think rapidly, allowing you to create a marvellous masterpiece. Let your imagination break free!
Bonus Rounds
Were you struggling to build well on your own? Fear not! One of these fabulous bonus rounds will allow you to play with up to 3 extra friends!
Not feeling that? How about a staff only bonus round?! These rounds will allow staff members to compete each other in order to win a cookie!
Can I win prizes?!
Of course, there are prizes up for grabs! At the end of each round, the winner receives x1 name in murder! (subject to change)
What do I do if I don't know what time build battle is, due to being in a different timezone? You can use this time zone converter to find out what time Build battle is where you are!
How do I enter round 2? Round 2 can be entered by throwing a signed book into a hopper, which is located underground at /warp buildbattle.
Who will be my teammate if I get entered into round 3? After getting chosen as a participant, you will be asked to message the host who you'd like your teammate to be.
If my teammate and I win round 3, do we both get the prize? Yes!
If I win a prize, can I give the prize to my friend? Of course you can, but just make sure to message one Jules or llatekate to inform them of your decision!
How do I vote for my favorite build at the end of the rounds? One of the hosts will post a link in chat which will lead you to a straw poll, where you can vote for your favourite build!
What do I build? At the start of every round, one of our lovely hosts will announce a theme in which players will have to follow throughout their build!
