HOLD UP! Before you scream, "IT'S ONLY FOR RANKS!", listen to this suggestion.

First of all, I think W/E should be a genuine tool for all players, as I wasted some of my life mining dirt to make a subsurface road.

HOWEVER! To nerf this, people can use a command, and they will get W/E for 90 minutes before it expires and they must wait 60 hours. [2 1/2 days.]

This can be easily exploitable by alternate accounts, but really, who wants remember all of those passwords? I know, you could use just one.

But again, servers have a, "Vote-To-Have-Worldedit" thing or a, "Take-A-Survey-4-Worldedit" on their creative.
If this becomes a renting system, then I can stop wasting hours of my miserable and only life and get rid of dirt in 10 seconds rather than 10 hours. [Exaggeration.]

Now, I will mention the cons.
Asking for W/E help can easily ask in quick exploits such as literally slicing your plot or erasing it all, obviously, you can call a moderator, but sometimes Elite and up are busy and cannot help you. So you're doomed with losing some of your lifetime. :/

Vote YES if you want to stop wasting time and actually do your own thing rather than beg for help, or vote NO if you want to keep pleasing beggars or you just don't like it.

P.S. - I know the owner wants to make a profit out of this, but some people can't afford Elite/+ and ask for help, and sometimes they cannot be reached to.
 
If a user can't afford Elite or Elite+, I bet there's going to be at least one Elite or Elite+ online that they can ask for. And the "most people can't afford it" argument can apply to any rank with any perk, so if we give it to all players because a few can't afford it then we'll end up with ranks with no perks or function. My final point is that people have already payed for Elite or Elite+, I'd say over 200 people have. Now, do you really think that it's fair to scam them out of their money?
 
Although I completely understand why you would want this, I’d have to disagree.

  • Yes, although not everyone can afford ELITE, those who can are paying quite a lot of money for what little perks they get. The biggest one, in terms of use, being world edit.
  1. There is way(s) to acquire a rank without paying. A friend buying it or simply a random player awarding people who win their mini competitions or similar. It does happen, of course it’s not very common, but it’s possible. Additionally, entering events can award you with prizes such as ranks if you win or if someone who wins gives away their prize to you. There are ways to not pay for a rank, and although it’s hard depending on you, it is certainly is possible.
  • Allowing everyone, no matter for how long, completely devalues one of the largest perks of already two rather underperked ranks, considering their current price.
  • Although “no one wants to remember those passwords” to exploit this, thats incredibly incorrect. There are many people who will do things such as that if they can. Plus Minecraft allows you to save accounts so it takes one click to switch accounts if you’ve got 2+ logged on. It’d be unbelievably easy to exploit if you did so happen to have alt accounts.
  • World edit isn’t necessary, if you can’t get an ELITE to help you, it’s still possible to build yourself. Yes w/e is so much easier, but your in no way “doomed” if they don’t help you. You can always ask again later and continue building elsewhere.
Like Prqy mentioned above, this would apply for all perks, unfortunately not everyone can afford ranks, but that isn’t necessarily the best reason to give what they’re paying for away for free, as it renders some people’s purchases useless, depending on the use of their perks.
Due to the reasons I’ve stated above, I will be voting -1.

Guys, I'm meaning it as a check-it-out-nope-can't-use-it-again-for-blahblah.

Basically, you do a command, and you use it for a time limit, then you cannot use it for an extended limit, such as a week for the cooldown and 90 minutes as the use time. That way Elite+ will still remain with permanent Worldedit.

Whether or not there’s a cool down, my points still personally stand and I will be remaining -1.

You’re still paying 100+ in most currencies and it’s incredibly expensive. Even if it’s only 90 minutes a week, it still devalues the fact because it’s accessible to literally everyone despite the fact they’re not paying. You can always win world edit perks for free.
 
Just so you know, @Tord, stuff like this has been suggested multiple times, and has (and probably will) always been denied.
 
I wish somebody could've told me that before it broke out with instant -1s.
 
It’s only for ranks.
