Username Vent/Rant/Whatever This Is

So...

I saw on NameMC that the name Soliciting was available, I wanted it, and I could change it at 5:28:03pm.
sigh
5:28:03pm in UTC... I was so confused. I checked its availability on NameMC, and it didn't say 'Unavailable,' but still said the drop time. I then missed the opportunity to get the name. Not like I could get it anyway, the person who did get it got it at the exact second it dropped.
Then, I thought that changing the lowercase L to a capital I would make it look identical to the actual name. I figured out that they wouldn't look the same, but I randomly changed my username to it after forgetting for a few seconds because I cannot remember anything important, yet I can remember the most pointless and insignificant things.
Now I'm stuck with an IGN I don't like.

Mojang should have something where you can change your name within the 30 days, but only be able to do that 2 times unless you donate a certain amount of money to the company? I don't know.

I remember when I saw the name "Nerd" coming up really soon on NameMC and once it was in it's last 10 seconds of becoming available. My friend puts me in those obnoxious 100 people Skype calls potentially lagging me. I know that there is name sniping but still was quite frustrating if you have been watching that name to become available for some time.

I always keep Skype off at all times unless I'm lonely or something, but yeah I agree

That's one of those names you'll have to pick in years when the amount of people playing MC is equal to the current world population lol
