Uh... Problem?

I was just checking out the terms and conditions for PartyZone store purchases, and I came across this:

"You agree to indemnify the staff, owners, hosts, advertisers, officers, directors, employees, partners, and all other parties related to this servers staff. By agreeing to these terms, you agree not to present any lawsuit or other legal challenge against the server staff for any reason, whether related to your purchase or not."

So, uh... problem? I'm not sure I can agree that I'll never present a lawsuit or other legal challenge to anyone involved in the management of PartyZone. What if something happens and a bunch of my personal information was stolen and sold? Someone on the PartyZone staff was removed from office recently for breaking into and stealing username/email information, right? I know that PartyZone stated they'd take legal action if it came to that, but what if there was something more serious than that, and I needed to take legal action?

@ PartyZone Staff. I was thinking about making a purchase, but sorry, I can't agree to those terms. I can't agree that I won't take legal action against someone who commits a crime against me just because I bought something in a video game.
 
That’s your choice whether or not to agree to the terms and conditions. If you think we should change it, please talk to the administrators about changing it.
 
That part of the agreement can be overridden if both parties agree to it (so you and PZ) -- like I said in the post about that developer, we would help any player who would want to legally pursue the matter in doing so.

Sort of, but uh... what if a situation arises where PartyZone doesn't agree?
 
Thats a wierd thing to say to a teen

But server owners nowadays are over 20 so theres like no problem at all

I think the issue is fixed

Aha, I was waiting for someone to say that. Nope! I didn't buy VIP. It was given to me by Arujann. There were no donor terms and conditions agreed to by yours truly.

So there.
 
I'd contact administration about this situation, I think this definitely needs to be changed because they need to change that line if something like your personal information does get stolen at any point. This is something that should be brought up about and changed, what if both pz and the client do not agree? A situation will definitely arise and it will put pz in a bad light.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Imagine if someone in PZ like a staff member found a way to steal my personal information, but does so in a way that only I find out about it. If I couldn't convince the rest of the PZ staff about what happened (or they refused to believe it/agree with me), then the terms and conditions of donating to the server would literally prevent me from taking legal action.
 
i figured someone must've got you the rank haha. tbh i see why they have that line there but i also think it was very poorly explained.
