Hey guys! So some of you may know me, some of you may not.
I resigned a few months ago for personal reasons, however I still come on a bit to speak to some old friends.
And there's something important I realised that people should keep in mind--
My experience as a staff here means I know some more about what goes on behind the scenes-
So my opener on this post is this; keep in mind that staff do a lot more than you see. You don't see punishments given or the many ways the staff you see work to make PartyZone a better place. So please don't accuse staff of being lazy, or doing nothing, as in reality they tend to be working really hard.
Something not many people think about is the person behind the game - you see a staff member and you see them doing their job without really thinking about who they are.
Now, I remember that right before I left, I spent a full 12 hours in creative without many breaks. And during that day, I was rushed around, I barely had any time to do anything else, as there were so many griefs or people trying to break rules. It was draining, emotionally and physically.
This isn't a bash on pz, being here is great and it's honestly something that I'm glad I was a part of. (in case anyone read that as a bad thing, it was more of that I was unable to leave as so many people requested help)
I've seen similar things happening to other members of staff, where they're rushed around creative with no chance for a break, being bombarded by players, having to simultaneously balance watching chat, dealing with griefs etc.
And on top of this, players complain or purposefully break rules, making things even harder for the staff that are working so hard already.
So keep this in mind, and think about the player behind the screen when you think about rule breaking, and take a moment to appreciate how hard they are working, whether you see what they are doing or not. They deserve the appreciation, honestly. ♥
