If you havn't heard of The Last Of Us, it's surposed to be one of the best games of all time, it's an apocalyptic game like my last story Himura Sanzo. But this has an emotional storyline that gets you linked in.
The actual story contains swear words. But since I'm not allowed to use them on here, I'll be using replacement words like 'damn' and 'crap' so, idk, but if you want you can replace those words with words you think would actually go there, but tbh i don't recommend it.

"Those two." Wren pointed down the wall, at the gate, where Mandy and James where, without looking where she was pointing. "They're armed, and have obvious skill. They might already be slightly weakened from maybe being hurt from the travel, but atleast it's no loss if THEY die." Wren glared are Sakai.. A.J still shooting, reloading, and continuing.
"..Wren.." Sakai ushered for Wren to come down the wall, out of A.J's hearing range. "Mandy was mine and A.J's old friend. She abandoned us and we could've died. Nicole was only 4. She was with us. This isn't a good idea."
"...I'm sorry to hear that, but I stick by my opinion, always. There's a good chance she won't remember. After this world went to crap I forgot everything beforehand except times the four of us (in my group) had together. Everything else, gone. I'm positive she won't remember." Wren looked down slightly.
"...Fine." Sakai glared at James and Mandy. "Garrison probably won't be happy with this. We can just say Mandy, but slyly let James know. He's told us stories about him. He'll do anything for family. Garrison considers us family - He'll help us. But Mandy can't see me. I'll tell James, you tell Garrison you're sending Mandy out, otherwise she's not allowed in with the rest of James' group."
Wren nodded.
"Right... I'll go tell him.. and her now." Wren slid down the ladder. She also informed Ellie, and Kitsune (Kit).
"James? Is that right?" Sakai approached James while he was eating his first meal in about a week.
"Yeah, that's right, I'm guessing you're Sakai?" James smiled at him. "Garrison says you're a valiant worker, kid. Whoever is friends of my brother is a friend of mine. What'tdya need kid?"
"..Thank you, and I'm guessing Garrison's already told you - But a friend of mine, and my little sister were blasted beyond our wall by a charge-gun's revolt. We're sending two people out to get them and bring them back. They're on the other side of the wall, and we can't get them to climb up the wall. It would take about a week to even get to the other side of the wall, nevermind letting people there know. Only the charge-gun's revolt could get us there fast enough, but with landing on the wall, scraping off it, or landing inside the walls, you'd die. Nicole's charge-gun revolt didn't kill them. They did scrape off the wall, and probably got quite a few cuts and bruises, which I don't want to think about right now until they're back, and safe. My point is, it was up to me and Wren, Aki's girlfriend, (Aki is the boy who got blasted out of the wall with Nicole) to choose who went to get them. We chose you and.. Mandy." Sakai explained.. In detail.
"..I see, lad. I'd be more than happy to. But one question: How'd you know Mandy's name?" James asked.
Sakai glances to the side.
"..Me and my friend A.J (Who's also Nicole's older sibling) used to know her. She ditched us. I want you to be wary she could do it again, Nicole was only 4 years old. This isn't a lack of revenge. Honestly, I'm terrified incase Nicole somehow remembers her."
"..I take your advice, I'll do it. I'll let Mandy know." James Nodded. He finished his meal.
Sakai smiled in glee, and obvious relief. "Thank you, sir! While your away, the Kata Force will be backing you up on the wall, keeping the herd away. But.. I need you to do something else, while you're here." Sakai asked.
"Mhmm, What is it?" James looked at him curiously.
"We're sneaking you out there. Tonight. Mandy's being sent out today. She's camping at the west corner tonight. You meet her there. We're sneaking you out because we.. are scared Garrison'll get mad, If that's Okay." Sakai's eyes narrowed, thinking he'd decline.
"My brother worries about me, He's like you, with your little sister. You're protective of her, just like he is with me. I get why you wanna sneak me out, so I'll accept. I don't want to worry him. When does Mandy leave, I think we should make her departure as real-looking as possible, as in, I'd see her off, E.T.C," James rubbed the stubble on his chin.
"I agree, Sir." Sakai smiled. "Now, You'll be meeting with Mandy and Wren. I'm not coming. I'm not facing Mandy, don't tell her that neither Me, A.J, or Nicole is here, please."
"Got it." James patted Sakai on the head. "Now where do I gotta go?" He rubbed his head.
The meating is now over, Mandy has departed. It's now 11:00am, It's been 2 hours since Aki and Nicole disappeared.
~Nicole and Aki's P.O.V~
Aki struggled to get up. He looked where his head has rested. Nothing.. Thank goodness.
He let out a sign of relief. But then he looked down his corpse and saw almost a pond of blood on the left-side of his pelvis.
"..Atleast it doesn't hurt anymore.." He mumbled to himself. He was oblivious of what had happened to him around 15 minutes beforehand.
"Wait.." ..Reality came rushing back... Slowly. "N-Nicole.." He thought. "Where is she?!" He glanced around. He turned himself 180 degrees and found himself looking at Nicole, who was struggling on the floor. But conscious. She had a gash along her forehead that couldn't be properly seen because of her fringe. Her left hand had twisted a full 360 degrees. And something had concocted on the right side of her face. She opened her eyes and looked at Aki while crying because of her pain. Aki shuffled over to her quickly.
"N-Nicole! What's happened to you!?" His pupils shrunk. He was terrified. Then he glanced to the distance, and then back to Nicole. The herd was closer by a huge step of a giant.
"A--ki.." Nicole looked up at him and shook his sleeve. She cried. "J-Just.. Go-- *She does a sort of 'gulp' from crying, and breathing at the same time* I-I kno-ow it--s-s gotten c-closer.. S-So just go.." She tried to lift her other hand up to shake at his baggy trousers, but then she noticed that it was bent back. "A-Ak--i.. P-Please.."
Aki now noticed what she meant.
"No way." Aki screeched at her. "I'm not leaving you behind!" He demanded.
Aki put his arm under Nicole's head and sat her upright. She cried more, It hurt.
She tried to talk, but it was better to face the pain than to talk, and try and get him to stop what he was doing.
Aki lifted her up and put her on his lap, he then tried to stand himself. But he was leaning to one side.
He started walking
He wasn't going to stop.
~A week after Aki and Nicole disappeared~
I turned around and saw my reflection;
Weak, it is.
My mindset, good nor bad
I'd turned. A monster, I related myself to,
What had I become in the past week?... Weak.
Weak, Is what I've become.
I failed to protect them.
I lost them.
Everyone.
If I wasn't alive, They would be,
They'd be here. They'd be safe.
They'd know what to do. But I just sit.
Waiting, my time to strike. My time to revolt. My time to care about what happens to my poor excuse of a life.

We turned around and saw our reflections;

"My brother worries about me, He's like you, with your little sister. You're protective of her, just like he is with me. I get why you wanna sneak me out, so I'll accept. I don't want to worry him. When does Mandy leave, I think we should make her departure as real-looking as possible, as in, I'd see her off, E.T.C," James rubbed the stubble on his chin.
"I agree, Sir." Sakai smiled. "Now, You'll be meeting with Mandy and Wren. I'm not coming. I'm not facing Mandy, don't tell her that neither Me, A.J, or Nicole is here, please."
"Got it." James patted Sakai on the head. "Now where do I gotta go?" He rubbed his head.
The meating is now over, Mandy has departed. It's now 11:00am, It's been 2 hours since Aki and Nicole disappeared.
~Nicole and Aki's P.O.V~
Aki struggled to get up. He looked where his head has rested. Nothing.. Thank goodness.
He let out a sign of relief. But then he looked down his corpse and saw almost a pond of blood on the left-side of his pelvis.
"..Atleast it doesn't hurt anymore.." He mumbled to himself. He was oblivious of what had happened to him around 15 minutes beforehand.
"Wait.." ..Reality came rushing back... Slowly. "N-Nicole.." He thought. "Where is she?!" He glanced around. He turned himself 180 degrees and found himself looking at Nicole, who was struggling on the floor. But conscious. She had a gash along her forehead that couldn't be properly seen because of her fringe. Her left hand had twisted a full 360 degrees. And something had concocted on the right side of her face. She opened her eyes and looked at Aki while crying because of her pain. Aki shuffled over to her quickly.
"N-Nicole! What's happened to you!?" His pupils shrunk. He was terrified. Then he glanced to the distance, and then back to Nicole. The herd was closer by a huge step of a giant.
"A--ki.." Nicole looked up at him and shook his sleeve. She cried. "J-Just.. Go-- *She does a sort of 'gulp' from crying, and breathing at the same time* I-I kno-ow it--s-s gotten c-closer.. S-So just go.." She tried to lift her other hand up to shake at his baggy trousers, but then she noticed that it was bent back. "A-Ak--i.. P-Please.."
Aki now noticed what she meant.
"No way." Aki screeched at her. "I'm not leaving you behind!" He demanded.
Aki put his arm under Nicole's head and sat her upright. She cried more, It hurt.
She tried to talk, but it was better to face the pain than to talk, and try and get him to stop what he was doing.
Aki lifted her up and put her on his lap, he then tried to stand himself. But he was leaning to one side.
He started walking
He wasn't going to stop.
~A week after Aki and Nicole disappeared~
I turned around and saw my reflection;
Weak, it is.
My mindset, good nor bad
I'd turned. A monster, I related myself to,
What had I become in the past week?... Weak.
Weak, Is what I've become.
I failed to protect them.
I lost them.
Everyone.
If I wasn't alive, They would be,
They'd be here. They'd be safe.
They'd know what to do. But I just sit.
Waiting, my time to strike. My time to revolt. My time to care about what happens to my poor excuse of a life.
...
We turned around and saw our reflections;
Weak, They were.
"Saike? What are you staring at?"

Choices:
A. Get Nicole to pipe up and stop Aki straining himself, and rest.
B. Get Nicole to struggle. Aki might stop that way, or strain his hip more (He's walking slanted to his left) by thinking she's getting worse.
C. Get Aki to stop, put Nicole down, and leave her by herself while he runs off and tries to find people, keeping in mind that Nicole is bleeding, and Aki is leaning to his left on a slant.
D. Keep running. Strain Aki.
