Rejected The PLUS Rank

I started a conversation on the Discord on how there should be a plus rank. That seemed a bit silly but the more I thought about it, it sounded better and better every time.


So the main idea is that there should be a PLUS rank. What is a PLUS rank? It is a thank you gift for playing on PZ for a years worth of playing. It sounds pretty hard to get but that’s the point! It’s a rank that says thank you for playing! You can access /hat and some cosmetics and you get shiny white texts like every other rank! It’s basically VIP, but that’s what VIP means. Very important Person.

I think I would be cool to have something like this but a rank, I don't think thats ths right way to it. The hipster rank for example is for staff who have been here for a long time. Yet player vary on going on the server, they could hop on one year and then not be here until 3 years later. Getting the rank with less work. As well I am certain the server does not hold records of when a player joins the server. As well the rank is mostly applied to the default group, a addition that doesn't devalue ranks would be much liked.

One idea I had to show for this was a xp system that when you play games you gain xp and you gain rewards along the way. Maybe at the end the player recieves some type of new rank.

While the Partyzone server may not record exact dates, it does record the amount of hours spent on the game. Maybe instead of a certain number of years it could be a certain number of hours. Otherwise, I like this idea since it promotes activity and rewards players for their contributions towards the server.

No you need to donate for perks and this is just sat at a pc

I mean, with some changes this could be a good idea. First of all, I think this should be based on playtime. Secondly, this should only be done when the playtime system is fixed, since it's kind of broken at the moment. Third, make the time longer. There's many players who've been part of the server for a year and still aren't that dedicated- possibly 2 years then? Also, would this rank be able to apply for staff? What color would the rank be as well, seeing as most normal minecraft color codes are taken. I'd say gray would look nice but that's the default color.
Other than that, the perks of this rank would have to be very low seeing as PZ wouldn't profit off of it otherwise. Just a few little things. Could just be mainly for the rank, kind of like hipster (though I know that hipster has a lot of E+ perks), it'd still make people want to buy it just for the tag/white chat. Though, not sure how many defaults would be as active for this. Just to be clear, would it be under VIP?

You have convinced me that 1 year isn’t that big. I think the color would be dark blue or white. And yes, it is under VIP.

I think the idea is quite good, But is it really fair on the people who have been on the server for a year, and have VIP?
I mean maybe just giving them access to /hat would be fine, But if everyone has White text what is going to be the point? Your message will no longer stand out.
