Now look, this guide will not make you a professional, but this is for general tips and guidelines on how to downgrade correctly.

I only spent about an hour typing it, so there is probably some form of mistake somewhere!
I hoped this helped the struggling players! Good luck, and happy hunting!
Perks are purchasable boosts players can use to give them a slight edge. Some perks are really useful, and some can be used to make massacring machines out of average players. These perks are not rank based. These perks can not be payed for with real life currency to obtain. These use the ingame coin system shared by, and earned by playing Downgrade, Murder, and, when it's up, Massacre.
To activate a perk once bought, you must be in the map, with the title-based timer ticking down. Right click the arrow in your hotbar, and select the wanted perk. Just remember that some perks require the user to die at least once to be used. Without further ado, all of the perks, and their use cases.
Speed perk: My personal favorite, after the user's first death, they get a permanent speed boost (permanent as in until the end of the game) This speed effect is quite powerful, to the point where sprint jumping with the effect active will infact, be slower than normal sprinting. There is also a glitch where, in melee combat, if you are trying to kill someone who also has a speed perk activated, and you're barely able to hit them, the anticheat will call a false positive, and kick you for reach. So there is that downside. Also if you collect the speed boost powerup while having this perk, you will legitimately look like a speed hacker. So have fun with that.
Enderman perk: If the speed perk didn't exist, this would be my favorite. While it sure is expensive compared to speed, it's just as, or maybe a little less useful than speed. This is a perk that works all the time. If you get a kill, you will be teleported behind the closest person. This could be good, as it's a nice sneak attack, or this could back fire, you could teleport into the middle of a massive fight, or get incredibly disorientated. Also if the person you're teleporting to would be able to see you if they had xray, and has a decent FPS, they may see your teleporting player model quickly move from you're killing spot, to behind them. Happy Hunting!
Anvil: Essentially, it is as simple as it sounds, it limits/completely negates knockback. I honestly wish this perk would be removed, as it removes the possibility of catching anti-kb hackers with any kind of ease.
Tracker: Playing hide and seek? This compass will help you hunt the scared fools!
Padding: This is another one of those perks that feels kinda pointless. If you have issues with people constantly targeting you, or you get spawn killed regularly however, this may be for you.
Backfire proof: This is for the people who are incredibly reckless with the following weapons: Grenade Launcher, Homing Rocket Launcher, Explosive Crossbow, and/or Grenade. This negates the damage that YOU would do to YOURSELF with these weapons.
Brawler: Another kinda-memeish perk that could be useful. This perk doubles your damage with fists from 1 heart to two hearts per punch. This can be useful for those annoying railguns, or grenades, or snowball kills. Also obviously good with the final tier of punching someone to death
Constant Regen: This perk is to heal the snipers of the world, stay out of combat the combat zone as much as possible, and well, you'll constantly regen.
Stealth: This is another really good one with downsides. Allows you to go perfectly invisible after a few seconds of you not attacking anyone. This perfect invisibility however, is ruined by any sign of aggression. Sprinting, arrows being lodged in you, or holding your weapon out will give you away to the enemy
Vampire: A simple perk, get a kill, and get five hearts back on your life. However this is not worth it, and you'll know why when you read about upgrades.

These are passive abilities that have five tiers each, each of increasing potency and cost. They could be activated all at the same time, and along with perks.
Vampiric: This upgrade, at the highest degree, works exactly like the perk, but occasionally will not work. To fix it not working, just take a death. Tier 5 goes to 5 hearts recovered, starting at Tier 1 with one heart recovered, and adding one per tier.
Regeneration: Increases how quickly your health regenerates by 20% per Tier.
Stamina: Increases how long you can use your sprint for 20% per Tier.
Powerup: Adds a percent chance for you to have double duration for your powerups deployed around the map. Unknown rate of progression, but presumably it's 2% per tier, starting with 4% at Tier 1

Cosmetics are purchased like upgrades and perks. They're activated like perks, but instead of going into the arrow's GUI, you go into the armor stand's GUI. They do not provide any tactical advantage, nor an armor perk.
Here is a list of weapons and common knowledge. If the description is a series of dots... then it's too obvious for me to explain.
One-Hit-Sword: ....
One-Hit-Bow: ....
Explosive axe: This is a weapon that will two shot a target if they do not kill someone while having Vampire perk, or have an absorption effect.
Grenade Launcher: Could two shot under the same conditions to Explosive Axe. A direct hit does double damage, enabling a two shot kill. Very easily handles tight corner kills.
Railgun: It's literally the gun from murder, except it can not be upgraded, has a slow reload speed, and does about 7.5 hearts of damage. Unless the target is already harmed enough, which can be achieved by punching the target a few times, this will take two shots.
Shotbow: It's a shotgun, as a bow. Do not expect precision. Do not expect easy snipes. To a target at 10 hearts, this will take three hits to kill, doing about 3.5 hearts of damage per hit
Iron sword: ...
Homing Rocket Launcher: Launches homing rockets to what ever YOUR CURSOR is pointed to. This will not be an aimbot rocket launcher. It will not be heat seeking. Where the projectiles go is up to you. Upon having fully direct hits, you will have a kill in four shots, if the user doesn't heal. As the weapon does 2.5 hearts of damage per direct hit.
Explosive crossbow: It's just a bow... of which the arrows explode. Also good at killing corner campers, just like it's father, grenade launcher.
Mines: Place them down. if someone steps on them, instant kill. Works great on staircases, ladders, tight corridors, and overly-aggressive melee combatants.
Knockback Axe: Just like an iron sword, if you wanted to turn your enemies into a high velocity pellet. Does four hit kills, countered/assisted by Anvil perk.
Grenade: Three shot kill if you get lucky/precise enough, Hand thrown. Grandson of grenade launcher. Jump throws recommended for combatants that flee.
Wooden sword: ...
Snowballs: Nice, Cold, and Wet. Dealing 1.5 hearts of damage per hit, get ready to give your enemies deadly frostbite.
Fists: This would be another "...", but if you kill someone at this level, you will win! Good on you if you do! Fists on default do 1 heart of damage in this game.
This was a very basic review of the weaponry you'll encounter when you play the game. Remember to have a bit of a lead with your projectiles, or you will always be shooting where they used to be, as opposed to hitting them!
Most weapons can be practiced on in the main lobby. The only exceptions are: Railgun, knockback axe, and Mines

So people commonly wonder how I got decent at Downgrade. I run the speed perk, with max level vampiric upgrade, with the next emphasis being on stamina, then regen, and lastly the powerup upgrade. I also have incredibly high framerates, and generally a decent connection to the server.
Now, in the case of a hacker, try to record it. I personally use OBS to record, it's free, light weight (In comparison to other options,) and recently became available on ALL platforms! Then report the hacker here!
