It'd be past eleven , Sarah would be fast asleep on the couch,, the TV playing as Joel stumbled inside the house.
'' Tommy , LISTEN TO ME! You don't understand , I can't lose this job! '' Joel would scream into the phone.
The phone would beep as Joel sat down on the couch next to Sarah as she started lifting herself up , slowly waking up.
'' It is way past your bedtime, '' Joel would mumble.
Sarah would look at the clock , saying '' Oh crap what time is it! ''
'' Too late , '' Joel would chuckle with this angry but also happy face on.
'' It's still today though. '' Sarah would smirk .
Sarah reached under the couch , grabbing a small box that contained a watch.
She'd then pass it to Joel. '' It's your birthday soon , I didn't want it to be like last year . . ''
'' Honey it's beautiful but , I think it's broken . . ? '' Joel would say , putting his ear up to the watch.
Sarah would glance at the watch '' Oh haha. '' She'd push his hand away from the watch.
