“Look, all I said was that no one cares! It’s not like I’m here to listen to the newbies dreams!” Konton Kuro explained to a certain Naomi Harrington. Naomi just rolled her eyes, eyeing the new kid, otherwise titled Otter Durran. Otter was only 13, but had shown promise during the training to become a member of the elite Team 13. This team consists of 13 people, ages 13-19, and when one member retires, a new member begins. Team 13’s job was to take down Miste, an organization of misguided heroes.
Members of this team consisted of; Naomi Harrington, The honest and quick on her feet leader of the team, as voted by the other members. Robyn Winchester, the friendly, slightly eccentric, smarty, and second in command of the team. Though she is leaving soon, she still is a valued member of the team.
Konton Kuro, the Debby downer of the team, who always off on his own, or dissing another member. Bons, prideful, and most likely to be leader after Naomi, she is a strong member of the team, but will rarely follow instructions.
Kimiku Kitsune, a passionate member, who rarely thinks before acting. Esther Casavoni, the patient kind being she is, though she is eager to be trusted, and will do anything to impress the rest of the team.
Alexander Silver, as sarcastic as he is, he somehow still has time to participate in sketching while coming up with new witty remarks. Raelynn Reimera, a quiet individual, but one who speaks her mind. Though she can be seen as rude, she has a humorous side, and is an enjoyable person if she trusts you.
Andréa Young, calm and collected, and strong when it comes to fighting. She is very blunt, and will tell you harsh words if you need to hear them. Tele, a sweet individual, most definitely the kindest being you will ever meet, many are surprised when they find out he is a villain.
Zeolani Woods, and energetic ball of enthusiasm, who trusts almost everyone, and is usually overbearing to some of the team members. Seline Raidell, though she appears careless and happy-go-lucky, she is the exact opposite, and most likely knows everyone on the teams darkest secrets.
Finally, the newest member of the team, Otter Durran, a sweet kid, with dreams farther than the eye can see. He loves to show off his skills, but is a sweet kid once you get to know him.
Though these team members had their differences, they were skilled at their job, and had taken down at least 10 Miste operation points. They all worked together towards a common goal, defeat the ones who ruined their lives.

“Okay, you can stop now Konton, we don’t need to hear you complain. Otter is a good kid,” Naomi rolled her eyes at Konton, filling her cup up with more water. Though they worked at a prestigious company, filled with villains, killers, and thieves, Vil. Inc. had basic office stations. Konton, Naomi, and Robyn were currently stationed in the break room.
“You guys heard we have a meeting today, right?” Robyn said as she fiddled with one of her many piercings.
“Oh yeah, wonder what it’s about,” Konton shrugged, “Probably another meaningless mission.”
Zeolani entered the break room with her empty kitty mug, “What’s this about a mission?” She asked enthusiastically, walking over to boil some water.
“No one knows, it was just randomly called this morning, check your email,” Naomi explained, finishing up her cup of water.
Zeolani sighed, mumbling under her breath, “I hate checking my email.”
“Right? No one checks anymore, why do they insist on telling us things through emails! We gave them our numbers for a reason!” Seline popped into the break room, having overheard the discussion as she walked by.
The break room soon became crowded, as 13 people filled the room, all gossiping about what the meeting may be about.
“Maybe they are finally going to promote our team!” Bons theorized, as she felt sick of being stuck in the bottom ranks.
“Oh c’mon, like that’ll happen,” Quinne rolled his eyes, leaning back in his chair as he crossed his arms.
“Shush Quinne! I’m sure it’ll happen, soon enough,” Tele spoke in his sweet as sugar voice. Quinne just rolled his eyes muttering something unintelligible under his breath.
Andréa, or Andi, as she usually went by, spoke up, “We’ve been here for a long time, and as some of us are leaving the team, it’s only fair they promote us.”
“Look y’all, it’s okay to get your hopes up occasionally! We are the best team around, I bet we will be promoted in no time!” Tele protested, hoping his words would cheer up a few of the older members looking for more recognition.
The team continued to chatter, only one member not joining in on the conversations around him. Otter fiddled with his sleeves as the other 12 made jokes and laughed. He wanted to get in on the fun, but after he had overheard another member hating how much he talked, he stopped trying to join in and get along with the others. Instead he just sat there, fiddling with his overly large sweater, humming quietly to himself.
“Hey new kid, what are you thinking about?” Robyn popped up next to the younger boy seemingly out of nowhere.
Before he could answer, a loud tone echoed in the break room, “Will all members of Team number 13 enter the meeting hall please.”
The team shuffled out, an excited buzz radiating from many of them. Ideas buzzed through multiple heads, and speculations were made. Some others were without hope, expecting to be fired.
They soon arrived at the meeting hall, everyone standing in a semicircle. Otter desperately worked his way to the front, just so he could see over the taller kids. A large white screen shone in front of him, bearing the teams logo, 13 in Roman numerals encased in a circle.
“You all seem to have made in time today, thankfully. We shall begin our briefing now,” A woman in stilettos and a tight fitting dress, known to the team as Madame Hersha, began to explain, clicking the slideshow to the next screen, “As you know, many of you have been with us for years, and just recently you gained a new member. Leadership has noticed your potential, and has offered you a new mission, should you choose to accept,” The team was about to start clapping, but Madame Hersh held up her hand to silence them, “Please save questions and applause for after the briefing. As I was saying, your mission will be quite difficult. You will be tasked with going to the heroes main base, known as Miste HQ. Naomi, as the leader, you will be given a list of available areas in the base, and will assign your team members to each role. Please choose wisely, and make sure you members are able to pull this off. Your goal is to reach the higher officials, gain their trust, and take them out. Make sure no one knows it was you, and remain as anonymous as possible. Do you accept this mission.”
A chorus of agreement filled the meeting hall, the buzz of excitement rising. Naomi took the list being given to her, and filled it out easily.

Everyone trusted Naomi’s judgement, and many were happy with their roles. It wasn’t hard for everyone to get ready for their journeys to the base. They all stood outside of Vil.Inc. headquarters, still processing what was happening. Whether they were doing this for fame, to make people proud of them, or to get revenge for someone they loved, they were all ready to make the heroes fall. They were all ready to be the beginning of the end of all heroes.
“Happy mission day, Team.” Zeolani’s voice was dark, and conveyed a clear message. No one was going to stop this mission, no one would stop her from succeeding. Everyone nodded their heads, and began the long walk to the bus station.
