From The Hole In Your Wall
I was thinking that there could be a command where if you do /staff it will show the current online staff members. I am only suggesting this because I see many ppl in the game every day saying is there a staff online. BUT There are some Cons that it can bug staff members if they get spammed by a million messages.

I mean, it's already a thing- It's just locked to the existing staff ranks. In all honesty though, this won't work out for the same reason why most staff don't go around accepting everyone's friend requests:

  • They could be spammed (More than they already are)
  • They could probably be followed everywhere
  • They could get exposed by players when they are in /hiderank.

I don't think she meant it for that reason.

Anyway.

Yes, this would be useful for giving them reports and letting them know if there's a hacker ext. however, I feel like lots of people would abuse this and spam staff therefore I am staying neutral.

If a player was abusing the command/spamming it maybe a certain punishment could be given out. And Yes I meant about reports for hackers etc if so someone was in freeze tag and couldn't record the hacker they could do /staff and message a staff member online.

  • It will just be a list of staff online, it won't say what game they are in and they won't be able to join what the staff member is playing.

This is currently a staff only rank due to reasons that I don't know but staff can be followed, be spammed, and also just be annoyed by players.

A solution for reporting people is msg a staff member their IGN if they are still online so they can find them.
An easy way to find staff is to look in creative or one of the 5 hubs, and if you have a helper online on your friend list ask them if there are any mods online atm.

Personally I think this should stay as a staff only Command

I don't really see much point in this command tbh. Staff members may not approve of this as they could be followed around or spammed with friend requests and for the staff members who don't want to be shown online would probably not want everyone doing /staff to see if they're online. Sorry, in my opinion I don't really see this command happening. :/

Omg can ppl stop disagreeing and commenting on here I know its a terrible suggestion but now its forgot about it so there is no point in coming along and writing stuff on here

You can request a thread lock if you wish. Better luck next time on your suggestion :).

The reason this wouldn't be a good idea is that people could see when staff members are on, and when there aren't any on. This will lead to more players feeling safe to hack when they see that 0 staff are online rather than now where a staff member could be anywhere waiting to catch them. We have a lot of hours where there aren't any of us on, and I'd preferably not expose said hours to be a 'rule breaking friendly time'.

As for exposing hidden staff members, I could easily just not show them if I wanted to but the reason above is why this won't happen.
