This idea is meant to replace/combine with the current staff ability to hide their staff rank.
I see staff members trying to do things like take off their rank so they can try not to raise the alarm of suspected hackers and what-not.
But a lot of the time, some law abiding players can mess up these operations by essentially calling out the moderator while trying to be friendly. As nice as the gesture is, I could imagine how annoying it could be, to go from being completely unknown by the person you're trying to monitor, and then being called out by someone who knows you in the public chat.
So my idea is that staff members could, in lobbies, and in games other than murder (In the murder round the command will do nothing) to change their names to a non-existent account.
I would say use any account, but that could be an issue, as if a rouge staff member wanted, they could tarnish the reputations of players, blah blah, not like any staff member I know would do that, but the point is it could lead to some kind of trouble.
The point of this would be to allow staff members to essentially go into an incognito state, without allowing them to give any players ANY kind of reputation, as to not draw attention to themselves due to the crowds of fans that they can attract, while still being able to moderate, and catch the offenders before anyone could file a report.
Maybe while disguised, friends will be unable to join the games of staff members too?
