Feedback Server Advertising

I remember being told before that it may be difficult to get PartyZone onto popular minecraft voting sites due to lack of uptime, but I do love this suggestion as it would definitely benefit PartyZone as a Network to consider spending more time into advertising their content.

Huh, I didn’t realize that was a problem... well thank you for letting me know about that. Hopefully there’s a way around it.

There should be a team.
.
An advertisement team? I don't think that's quite practical since it's just unnecessary
.

I mean, it isn’t too necessary to have a whole team as mooris said, but it might be interesting to have members of the community create stuff to use as advertising. Like the newsletter (I don’t know if that’s a thing anymore but it’s just an example of something a member of the community [Emo] did). Interesting idea though.

Best way to advertise: Get a popular youtuber to do a video on it. I joined PZ that way.

I'll break it down for you all.

YouTubers:
That was in different times where we were very very lucky to get a few medium YouTubers on that started a chain reaction amongst other youtubers such as AntVenom, JeromeASF and others to also record.

All of those YouTuber contacts PZ once had are pretty much dead in the water and getting new ones is next to impossible without giving out large sums of money to content creators.

Voting:
I know Dean is working on Goodie Bags so perhaps when they're released a new in-game voting website method will also release with a goodie bag reward as an incentive. This could either succeed in bringing in a good bunch of players or fail completely, we'll have to find out!

Twitter:
I agree, more tweets must be made and perhaps regular "Retweet + Follow to enter" competitions for ranks/goodiebags/coins should be in order.

Facebook:
Facebook isn't so much good for a Minecraft server, particularly PartyZone as our target audience demographics doesn't align with the average user age.

I meant making videos on our own channel, not getting other YouTubers. If we want the server to grow at this point, we'll have to do it ourselves.

That'd be a good way to get the rewards! Hopefully it works out.

Yep!

Yeah, I wasn't too sure about having a Facebook. I was tired when I made the suggestion so I really did whatever popped into my head.

That's true... Like Emerald said, perhaps we could just post videos on the PartyZone channel. Maybe some members of the community could make videos that could be posted either on the PartyZone channel or on their own.

Few aren't too "dead" yet here and there.

Second... is it too much money they are asking for or does mcpz need the money? If we brought someone in and the viewers really liked it or brought even a small amount (100 about) would that be worth it?

I think it would be well worth it, lets say about 500 new players? Probably 100-250 would stay, then let's say half of them bought ranks. Would be worth it.

All I can say is this is one of the many things on my plate to do. I promise this is something we think about even if it isn't as easy as it sounds. If you're looking for something to do you can support the server through our store or ask your friends to play with you here or even ask your favorite youtuber to play. The youtubers we had before weren't magically acquired by us, they were brought by our friends who wanted them to play here. A couple we messaged asking nicely and a bunch came on their own and brought other youtubers with them.
I'll work on the social media advertising ':)

Thanks for everything that you do for the community! <3 What you said actually makes a lot of sense. I'm sure there are lots of people here who would be happy to help with advertising.

Here's an idea. I'm not really sure how I feel about it, but I think I should toss it out as an option: what if we created a PartyZone Community YouTube channel? It would be a place where members of the community could create content to toss out on YouTube. Money might be complicated, but perhaps we could make a deal so players can earn some ad revenue from YouTube. That might be a hard thing to organize, I'd at least like to consider the channel by itself.

I thought I replied to this already, but I would've just said essentially what Sean had said.
