ALRIGHT so I don't have any proof of this, as I wasn't playing PZ at the time, but apparently, when murder first came out, it was advertised. Like extremely advertised. Are we doing that with any of our new games? No, we are not. Should we be doing stuff? YES. YES, WE SHOULD. If we advertise all of our games the way we advertised murder then that should really raise the player count of the server.

  • YouTube videos - It's no secret that there is a PZ channel, but it's rarely used. I know that recently there was a video made of the new Halloween hub, but it was a short video and not really advertising anything. We need a video every time we have a major update with something, like the downgrade revamp last year, or whenever a new game comes out. We NEED that to grow the server.

  • Next, is voting. Right now there aren't any up to date ways to vote on Party Zone. If we want the server to grow we need everyone to be voting and have a reward for doing so, like 100 coins or something small for every website you vote on. There's a server that does this and they went from 200 people on average during the summer to 300 people on average now, that's a huge growth, especially from summer to the school year. (not sure how free this one is)

  • Then we need to be making more twitter posts. It's something small but could get the word out for literally anything. Every event, update, game, or really anything. You could even put the newsletter on here. Right now it's really not used at all.

  • I'm really not sure if there is a facebook page for the server or not, but if there isn't one, make one. This is another way to easily get the word out there for anything. You could even put videos on here too. I know facebook isn't exactly the best place for this kind of stuff, but it could help in getting the word out. I understand if this wouldn't work out though.

All these are easy to do, and there's no excuse not to do at least one of them.

Note: Please suggest any other ways PZ can advertise the server's games and events. Also, please leave your opinion on this suggestion.

Community suggestions:

@BriarRose thinks there should be a team of individuals running the advertising. I thought it would be neat to turn that a little bit and take projects by the community to use as advertising. Like the newsletter by Emo.

I think these are all good suggestions that would really help the server out! I hope the devs take this into account!

I think PZ staff would be in control of making a facebook account for PZ.

I like this idea, Emerald! However I'm not so sure about the facebook part but of course that can be edited. +1

As mooris said the PartyZone staff would probably control the facebook. But once you are 13 you can apply for staff! :D

Yeah, I'm not sure about the facebook either. It was just a little something because not everyone uses twitter. But thank you! :)

I agree, not a lot of investment into advertising anymore. Which sucks because if this server was more well known, I think a lot of people would like it.

PZ used to have a facebook account btw, but no-one seemed to bother with it much. We are working hard to try and push things forward but when murder came out we were very lucky to get a few up and coming youtubers on our network, now, thats not such an easy thing to do. Good suggestions!

That’s a bit of a shame... well, it’s just a suggestion. If the Facebook advertising isn’t added, the world wouldn’t end.

I'm glad someone finally brought this up. And in WAY better words than what i would've said. Either way i agree. PZ is a quiet server, with a good small community, but people cannot play the games they like seen as everyone else on creative on murder. So expanding the server would be great. Advertisements are rare from PZ and they're normally confined to the forums. I definitely want this to happen +1

These are all wonderful suggestions, @GhostOfEmerald! I think the best part of these suggestions is that most (if not all) of them are free! Facebook and Twitter don't require any monetary investment, and I don't think voting does either (maybe it does and I just don't know).

YouTube is certainly a great platform to take advantage of, and monetizing videos could generate some revenue for the content creator (and possibly for the server if a deal is worked out), which would create a huge incentive for users to create server content.

I don't spend much time on the server right now, but I'm sure we could attract some attention to the server by implementing these suggestions. You certainly get a "should implement" from me! Great work!
