Hey, I've been playing MCPZ for a while on and off and saw it's decline and don't want it to completely fall off.
Here's some of my suggestions to help revive the server:
- Pay YouTubers to player/advertise the server: You gotta spend money to make money.
- Remove Murder (for now): Yes, it's a classic but Hypixel has basically taken all the players who want to play Murder Mystery. Possibly create an arcade game that forever runs that anyone can join at anytime and put it in there for the time being. If the server grows again, put it back in a separate gamemode while keeping the Arcade gamemode.
- Events: Simply hold scheduled events once a week lol. Not too often people take advantage of it and don't join cos they can join anytime and not too far apart so people don't get bored of waiting and not join the next one. Maybe even live stream it to grab attention of another audience.
- Parkour: Parkour is a great gamemode cos you can play it on your own or with others. It can also encourage people to play on Creative to build maps for the parkour gamemode.
This is just brain storming but my main ideas is just too advertise the server more to a larger audience such as YouTubers, switch to gamemodes that can be played solo or together so players don't have to wait for others to join to play, and keep active in the community with constant updates. No updates = bored players.
