Hi everyone! As you know, the /lick command is an emote that users can use. I think it should be removed.

This can be used in an inappropriate manner and isn't really worth it. Somebody got warned today for saying to /lick an unnamed staff member. Scenarios like this can be handled by simply removing the emote. 9/10 times this can be used/seen as inappropriate.

Thank you for reading!

As much as I agree, I can also disagree. It's just supposed to be a silly command to use, but mostly almost everything not only this depends on context, if you're having fun you in a playful manner ie using the command on your friends it wouldn't be innapropiate. I agree it's a tiny bit innapropiate which should be removed but I see no soul purpouse of removing it so I'll stay neutral.

The example you have used of someone telling people to /lick a staff member isn’t inappropriate, that’s flooding chat as the chat will be spammed with “Player has licked player” etc. This emote can be used inappropriately yes, but it rarely is and on the rare occasions that it is used a staff member will deal with it accordingly.

But how will I clean other cats?

This would apply for any emote actually. That, as alex said, is encouraging spam. Regardless of how it plays out

As for the command being inappropriate- it does happen, but the base contexts are: Licking an ice cream, and licking someone's face.

In cases where the command is used in an inappropriate manner, as alex again said, the user is dealt with.

The /lick command is rarely used inappropriately, and if it is we deal with the player. I think it doesn't need to be removed as of now, since it's rare if it's used as inappropriate.

I will be agreeing with what others have said on this.

It's just an emote, the context of the message the emote comes with is not inappropriate at all, and if it's taken in an inappropriate way, that's why we have staff members. I have personally never seen the emote used in an inappropriate context, so it can't be used like that all that often. Unless everyone starts using it as inappropriate, then I don't think it should be removed as of now.

I can understand that and I realized that my suggest isn’t that helpful. You can go ahead and lock it. To be honest I'd rate my own suggestion Don't Implement.
