Hey guys,

Over the past few weeks I noticed that some people on my friend lists were in a status called [REDACTED]. I just wanted to know what this means?

Redact means something related confidentiality, for example: To hide a lobby/mini-game someone is in, this could/usually means they're inactive and aren't online, but it can sometimes just be glitched. I'm not exactly sure about the true meaning behind it, so I'll let another member of the server add more to my statement or say the correct answer.

I was told that it meant that the player was in some kind of 'limbo state' of connection. Meaning that they were technically logged onto the server they just couldn't load the server in. However, I'm not sure on this.
The official definition is to censor or obscure something, so I can imagine that it means that the player is gliched or cannot fully connect - the player has an 'obscured' connection, if that makes sense.

Redacted usually means offline as a bug, but it can also mean in a private / staff section of the server.

 

[Bunnibon]

Redacted means that the player is offline but it hasn't registered yet, or the player is in a private section of the server.
