What if we can record a game of murder within the game itself, and not have to use an engine or software? That would make reporting about a hacker, or teasers so much easier. Plus, we could download it and keep it as a trophy if we do really good in a game.

Well, uh, without mods I'm pretty sure the server would have to store the files themselves, not to mention, from whose perspective are you recording?
Not to mention this might be extremely complicated, if even possible.

I get where you are going with this yet I am very certain this is not do able or very hard to implement. What you mean is record all players from there screen right? Yet this won't help with hacking. It might give more possibilities yet this won't help for 1 reason. Too many games are played per day that staff will need to watch. Also how would this be recorded and where would the game play go?

A much more simplistic way of doing this is installing the replay mod for yourself. It's easy to keep track of when you last logged into a network, and you can watch gameplay from any point of view. It also means players aren't required to do anything they might not want to just to play murder.

Personally, I don't think this would be a good idea. It would require some sort of moveable NPC that can react what happened. As far as I know, it isn't possible to make it so that it films the game and output it as a video file because the API for programming plugins does not have such method. But it is possible to allow NPCs to react the game it cannot film it though, you'd have to film it manually. Either way, this is pretty much useless and doesn't need to be added.

Good idea. Can I get the link to the mod?

There is a small caveat to the replay mod. It will only record anything within your render distance. If you keep it high it shouldn't be a problem, but if you have another mod (specifically optifine) you may have issues, as to my research, they seem to cut player rendering distances to preserve some framerates when possible, so while the world might be loaded in the replay, you may have a hard time recording a hacker that is across the map. However if your computer is good enough to handle minecraft without optifine, then that's great! Because the mod barely does anything on damaging framerates!

However if you get into close encounters with any hackers, you'll be able to get them just fine.

I recommend also going with the BetterFps mod if you need an optifine replacement, I haven't tested this for player render distance however, so I am not sure if it's better or worse.

tldr; Keep your render distance high, maybe keep optifine away, and you can probably record the entire game!
