Ghosting is very hard to catch so there's no point for it and also I don't think there should be server punishments, you'll have to pay to circumstances of breaking rules like everyone else does, if we typically have server punishments, it'll give the players who've caused destruction a chance to destroy things on the other gamemodes.I feel like a straight up ban should be avoided at all costs....
My suggestion is simple on paper, devs may say it's not as simple to do but if it is possible I think there should be gamemode exclusive punishments. Eg: Grief on Elite Survival = Elite Survival Ban/Tempban, Ghosting = Murder Tempban + stats reset.
Obviously there would be a severity and repeat offence system for the punishments, but I know how annoying it can be where a staff member misses out on context and a punishment can make you want to quit the server.
Also I think if you're muted you should still be able to teleport so you can help someone like a friend build.
That's just assuming, give them a chance to prove otherwiseGhosting is very hard to catch so there's no point for it and also I don't think there should be server punishments, you'll have to pay to circumstances of breaking rules like everyone else does, if we typically have server punishments, it'll give the players who've caused destruction a chance to destroy things on the other gamemodes.
Well they're given a chance to prove after they wait out their time or appeal and their appeal gets accepted, people who don't follow rules have to be dealt with and making only server bans will not help. That's just assuming, give them a chance to prove otherwise
The whole point is to give them a chance to learn, if they don't that's on themDirect punishments on game modes would be kind of ineffective- The user could just move on to the next gamemode they can and cause issues.
They're given several chances to learn and many who do it are aware of the punishments, the bans aren't permenant as they're being another chance to come back and prove themselves that they wouldn't do it again, this is way too lenient. The whole point is to give them a chance to learn, if they don't that's on them
