It says in the, suggestions we’re adding thread, that a toggle for particles is being added, yet you can toggle them in settings.

The suggestion was mainly to toggle off things like fireworks and such. When toggling off particles in the Minecraft settings menu, it disables all particles including things like block breaking, explosions, and more. This suggestion would likely make it so that players can disable specific particles instead of multiple at once, without installing Optifine (as many players cannot do that). If you feel this isn't necessary, you may create a suggestion to argue against that.
