Idea: I have noticed there are an insane amount of plots that are either claimed with nothing in them on just plain plots with a bunch of lava everywhere. Wouldn’t it be good to have a plot removal where if a player does not log on to a server for around 3+ months all their plots are deleted?
Purpose: This would first make it so that people are more inclined to come onto the server regularly which will improve player count, but also reduce lag. If there are an insane amount of plots just laying around claimed with a bunch of random blocks placed everywhere someone obviously doesn’t care that much about it. So if the player doesn’t come back online for 3 months then the plot automatically deletes itself.
Examples: Say a player comes onto the server and places 50 heads on a plot and then leaves and never returns. Then this plot is just sitting there completely unused and unloved. #PlotsNeedLoveToo. So if this plot is deleted then that will reduce lag! After a while of this going on then maybe eventually the amount of heads, banners, and armour stands can be doubled.
Clarification: This of course could be a very bad thing as some people with amazing builds could have their plots deleted, but if they aren’t a dedicated player on mcpz that plot will just be a big waste of space that another more dedicated player could build on. There could also be a command where it will disable plot deletion for players with VIP rank and up. Since they have already shown they are dedicated to this server by buying a rank. This is just an idea and it could definitely be edited and fixed up.

Thanks sooo much for reading this and I hope everyone likes this idea! Thanks! <3

I would say 3 months is a very short time to get rid of a plot. If this were to be implemented, I would go with a year. That would still get rid of a lot of plots of players that haven't been on in a while, but players who are just taking a break will still have their plots. I feel that if we implement this, it should be for all ranks and not just defaults, because even Elite+s sometimes aren't dedicated to the server. A system like this is already in place, however it isn't automatic as this suggestion explains. A player can ask a mod for a plot if the original owner of the plot hasn't been on for a long time, and the mod can give the player the plot.

I haven't been online very frequently recently and most likely will not be on for about 2-3 months due to studies. If this were implemented everything would be gone!

There's infinite amounts of plots to be claimed therefore I don't see it as an issue.

-1 I wouldn't be seeing my awesome (not) creations b/c I haven't logged into mcpz for about 4 monthes so nah

ill prob forget and its not fair for normals and as stated above the world never ends

For all the reasons stated above,
I have to agree.
Some players spent hours, days and maybe even weeks just to decorate their plot. Just because they were offline for more than three months, doesn’t mean they’ll be gone. Some players take long breaks, I have before for a year. As Catten said though, if a player wants a specific plot ( eg. one by spawn ) the staff member can check how long it’s been since they’ve been online. If they decide it’s been long enough, they give it to the player. So I don’t really see no need. Especially, as Haris said, the plots are infinite.

The thing is, if people wanna quit minecraft for a bit and keep their builds on the server, we could create a "review team".
They could protect a plot from being deleted.
We could add a command like /protect, it will send a message to the "review team" and they'll judge if the plot is worthy to be kept or not.
The "review team" will judge by the amount of time spent to create what is on the plot and if it's a minimum aesthetic (if you spend month to dig your plot and fill it to the build limit with diamond block, this isn't really a thing that should be kept).
If a build get at least 3 positive review from the "review team" it will be protected forever (until a /plot clear , /plot reset or /plot dispose).
The review team will be mostly the staff, the insights and a bunch of other players that could apply like for helper or insight.

But i think it would be a little hard to set up :l

btw plots are not infinite, there is around 1,779,200 plots (creative is a 100040 by 100040 world and a plot is 75 by 75, 100040² divided by 75² = 1,779,200.284)

That's all unnecessary to me. It can lead to mistakes and just it's just not really a good idea. The "review team" would have to go through tons of plots every day if they wanted to keep a schedule.

At the beginning only, they'll get hundreds of plots to check but after some time, since already alot of the plots will have been protected, they won't get alot of demands in one day.

Yeah, however it's still just not necessary or remotely helpful as the initial suggestion isn't helpful or really doing any good for the server anyways. :)

If the plots are finite, and if the server does get to the point where they won’t have much plots to go around, I feel like something needs to happen. However, I’m not one for the automatic plot removal, so I think the ways are right now will suffice for the time being.

Thanks for your suggestion, at this time, this suggestion will not be implemented
