-+Hiya! It's me, Vanexai_ again.+-

It's a command for the people who don't have WorldEdit, yet wish to change the floor of their plot without having to place it 1 by 1 or asking an ELITE(+).

I know it removes one of the purposes of buying ELITE(+), but just hear me out here.

--------------------------------------------------

How it works.

All you have to do is open up your chat box, and type /plot floor (block)

It works similar to the //set command on WorldEdit, yet only works for the floor. Nullifying a bit of w/e perms, but not too much.

But to keep some of the perks of buying perms for WorldEdit, you can only choose one block to set as your new flooring for your plot, yet on WorldEdit, you can choose a certain percentage of each block for your floors, so it disperses randomly. (Sorry if that was hard to understand, look at the picture below to see what I mean)

Example:
Jgryaqr.png

(in case you can't see the picture: http://i.imgur.com/Jgryaqr.png)
Now that, you can only do on WorldEdit.

--------------------------------------------------

Why should this be a thing?

Let's say you want to do a beach house. Of course, your beach house has to be on the beach. D U H
So you have to call over a ELITE(+) Friend of yours over to do the floor for you. Instead of that, just do
/plot floor sand

It's for people who don't have the money a their disposal to buy a rank with perms. Plus, it doesn't take all perms from w/e. Just simplistic flooring. It's only one type of block. Not like the picture above.

--------------------------------------------------

I hope you guys consider this :)

Cya!

I see no reason to not implement. As you said, you can only place one block, that'd still keep the Elite+ perk. This would help people. +1

I still think it kinda nullifies the w/e command, considering that most people use w/e on the floor to make it solid anyways (as far as i know), so.... -1

Beats the purpose of world edit. -1

It seems like a good idea for convenience, but yes, it does take away one use of WorldEdit. I'm staying neutral for now, but if people can provide good reasons for either side, you might convince me to take a side.

I like the idea. In regards to it potentially taking away from WorldEdit, I'd argue WorldEdit is more geared towards refined editing within the plot such as making buildings or pixel art. However, this feature has a singular purpose and can't be used to do anything more than just setting the floor, which I'd also say just so happens to be possible to do with WorldEdit too.

Yes, but there is still people without w/e who don't have the cash to buy a rank and want the floor to be different. Plus it does not remove all perms from W/e, just a little bit

It doesn't beat all the purposes of W/e, with w/e you have the freedom to do a lot of things. Flooring is just one of them. It's for convinience for people who don't have the money to buy a rank with perms.

Well, DEFAULTS, VIP and VIP+ have to ask someone with the perms, such as elite, etc, to change the floor for us. it would mean adding them to the plot, asking them over, and having them do everything for you. This command would save a lot of people's time
just sayin'

It kind of removes the point of having world edit. Also, @Vanexai_ if you are going to reply to multiple people, please put it in one message.

Doesn't really remove the entire point of WorldEdit. You still have w/e to do walls, to replace certain blocks, to copy and paste, etc.
This is just change the floor.

It's pretty obvious you are only suggesting this because you are a VIP+ but, to be completely honest, VIP+ has enough perks as it is and, if it is slightly under perked, giving this to VIP+s will make the rank over perked.

It's not only for VIP+ or VIP. for everyone.

Meh, I don't really like the idea.. No offense!

Thus idea doesn't float my boat, sorry no. I shouldn't mention things already said, but it does indeed debuff w/e, not to mention it may cause a lot of lag. So I will be saying -1

Also if you cause arguments you might get the thread locked /:

Wait... You want this perk to be for everyone? As in, defaults and above? Erm no, sorry.

Uh-oh! We'd better keep things under control.

It seems to me like the main points for and against the suggestion are as follows:

*Makes things more convenient for players and saves time for ELITEs and up.
*Takes away one use of WorldEdit for ELITEs, possibly resulting in fewer reasons to purchase the rank.

So I guess the real question is which one of those two things are more important to the community. Convenience for more players, or more incentive to buy a higher rank? We don't know for sure that fewer people will purchase ELITE if this is implemented, but it is a possibility.

Actually, after hearing these things, I'd like to point out we are already getting less players, even one small thing that takes away from the perks of Elite, which could result in just 1 less person buying Elite, which right now might impact the server in a bad way. Neutral.

Elite+ can still do more than just change the floor... jeez. +1
