So, i get annoyed and scared very easily. So obviously I've got some pet peeves. Everyone does. But like, seriously. These things trigger me so much, in so many ways, that they deserve a list, and an example.
GOOD LUCK READING THIS WITHOUT CRINGING
People who constantly try to scare you.
I.e
This one time, we were on a school tour on a island that used to be used as a prison. Either way, we went into a punishment room where loads of staff claimed it was haunted and told us stories about how you hear screaming in the night, footsteps upstairs, even if no one is upstairs. Anyway, this one person... Kept scaring me to death. In anyway possible. I came out of the darkest room there, and she screamed at me, causing me to fall over and start screaming myself. I was upstairs in a room full of paintings from the prisoners ( they were scary af, and really dark... ) and she comes in, grabs my throat and screamed, I litreally was done with her at that point. Either way, don't ever repeatedly scare me, i will stab you. ( well... not really. I'll just get mad at you and slap you )
People who make up stories for popularity.
I.e
So. I won't say who or what story. Because I'm basing this peeve mostly off people online, but it does happen real life. And this example is based off PZ. So i'm not saying, who or what story. But if you know. Please do not shout it say it aloud. As it may offend someome.
So it just bugs me. When someone tells you a story. And you're like, you feel so bad for them. But when they re-tell it, or someone points it out, you're like. Woah thats fake as hell. And they keep going, "it is not! Shut up, you're being so rude, omg like stop ew. Wtf." And you're here like, "if its not fake, you shouldn't be trying this hard to convice people its not. Or being equally as rude.." but anyway, stop. Saying stuff like that, is stupid, it makes people hate you, and it does not help you become popular. Another example is, this girl on instagram pretended she killed herself, for attention from a YouTuber. Thats messed up. I'm sorry, but you honestly are the most. Just STOP. It honestly makes me so... angry. Like, i want to kill you, angry.
People who try to hard to impress. ( a.k.a that one cocky person we all know )
I.e
( story had to be edited, for privacy reasons lolol )
So. There was this guy, who used to like me, and he was... meh. Either way i was dating someone at the time. Anyway. I did a numbers and questions on snapchat, and that guy sent, not even kidding, these exact words, "9 - do you have a boyfriend" and i was like. Oke. And posted on my story yes. So this guy got mad. And said, "who? I'll beat the crap out of him" and idk why, but i just said "k" because i'm boring. The next time i saw him, he was practicing for a gaelic football match. ( its like rugby but with less murder and... ugh look it up ) i was waiting for my friends. Anyway, he took his shirt off, and took the chance, to try impress me, whenever i had the ball. At first i thought it was kinda cute he was trying that hard, but then he started being slightly violent, and i was like, "nope, just no. Screw *insert names of friends here* I'm leaving". And i did leave. I couldn't be that girl, to watch this dude. Run around, violently tackling the other guys there, shirtless, and not leave or interfere. ( i did meet up with my friends in though, i decided to meet up somewhere else though... )
That one friend we have that always plays innocent and is oblivious sometimes to the obvious.
I.e
I have this friend, who used to alway be... well... making all the desicions and always 'accidently' hurting someone in the friend group. And example of this, is something i find funny because we were 12 when this happened. So my friends and i were on a sleepover, slumber party, whatever. The day before his birthday. And he had, a bouncy castle. This guy had annoyed me so much i begun ignoring him, he litreally had crossed all my lines that day, i was mad. Like. Really mad. So this guy fiNaLLy noticed this, and tried to apologise. But like. I knew he didn't mean it, he litreally never did. He didn't even know what he did tbh. So eventually he gave up, ran up stairs and started crying. Me and my other friend were just like. "O." We evetually gave up and had to say sorry to him for nOthINg so he'd stop crying. And boy, it was so hard pretending i didn't want to murder him.
The 6th year that skips you in the lunchline.
I.e
Before i start the story, let me explain.
In ireland, primary school is, juniors, seniors, 1st class-6th class. Then its secondary school, which is 1st year-6th year. And then colage which is a specific amount of time, depending if you go and on your course. So 6th grade is the last grade before collage.
So when you're in 1st year, you're 11/12/13. And 6th year are 17/18. And when i was in 1st year, you learnt. There are a lot of knackers in 6th year. ( knackers are trouble makers except 10x worse. There was a knacker in my sisters class who made a teacher cry once ) and anyway, these people would skip you in the lunchline, and if you'd try to get back infront of them... they'd push you back and start threatening you. And they MEANT half of those threats. Anyway, seen as we're in school, my friend went ahead, so i, being a beautifully loyal friend, followed. Anddddd then the 6th year behind us started teasing me and my friend. My friend is super sensitive so that went horribly. She started getting upset and i had to spend the rest of lunch comforting her, as a good friend, even if i was extremely hungry.
I'm not continuing the story, because thats all the example needs. Plus, it got personal after that.
When you like someone you're close too and they've told you, who they like, and its not you and decided to ignore the obvious...
I.e
Is this considered a peeve, or a heartbreak? Meh, either way it hurts me.
So this is the typical "they call it a crush because they crush you once you realise they don't love you." Anyway this happened to me recently enough. So I'll use that one, seen as its the one i remember best. And i liked one of my closet friends. But thay person did not have any remote feelings like that, for me. And i knew that. They even told me who they did like. I did not give up though. Screw it. I really didn't want to realise this was never going to happen. That was one of the worst mistakes I've ever made. And i know its a mistake. But i did it anyway, because I was emotionally unstable at the time. Either way i eventually found out i needed to go now. And it hurt me so much because i held on for so long. It put me in a terribly dark place. I just wish i told them. I just wish they noticed, and atleast told me. "No" because, ignoring how someone feels, especially in that way, can really damage a person. It damaged me so many times. Because i couldn't say it, and the other person couldn't acknowledge it or say no. Its pretty damaging. You've got to learn to let go. Its also why i don't trust my heart anymore.
anyway, this peeve is mostly a self peeve.
People Who just don't understand what asexual means....
I.e
NOW THIS. Is a massive pet peeve. So whenever, i explain my sexuality. SOMEONE HAS TO SAY, "but asexual means you don't have feelings at all for anyone, in that way." ... no. Thats not how it works. Shut up. So i have to go all technical, saying "There are two meanings. The first is what you said. And the second, means we lack a sex drive, but we still like people in a romantic way. Thats way theres, biromantic panromantic, aromantic, and the list goes on..."
So don't be that person. Please. Look it up, just don't say it aloud. It will kill me.
NOW I HAVE A LOT OF OTHER PET PEEVES. But i need to finally finish my books first chapter. No excuses this time. If you want to see more pet peeves. Go ahead vote. I'll give you random rant like stories about it.
