General Party Zone's Death Date

The network itself is amazing, the community is outstanding in some parts, the forums is active every day (except from when down) and the staff are extremely amazing at what they do. I joined PZ in 2015 and it changed my life, I met people who I care so much about here, people who changed me for the better, taught me how to write/read better than I used to, taught me I am not female but I am non-binary.

When PZ ends I will be at a crossroads, sure I will try my best to stay close to my friends but it takes the toll and it may effect my life, PZ is and remains to be my coping method. I hope it never dies.

That's because no one can join murder. It's extremely buggy and needs fixing.

Thats all your opinion, im somewhat tempted to say "what the hell are you talking about" but thats not the point of this thread. the forums is active everyday, so is the server, if you count for the less than 50 people that are on it. I joined PZ early on too, Ive met people who I care about too, none of this changes that the server is dead. none of it. It is dead and soon it will shut down. Thats inevitable. This gives us the chance to have control over that and possibly extend its death date. The 5th anniversary could be later than when it is planned to be shut down, we don't know. All we know is that if its death is on our terms, we can prepare for it, and decide what we want to do.

Think of it like this. You know your grandma is going to die soon. Exactly 3 days. You would hopefully spend those 3 days with her enjoying her, wouldnt you? Life doesnt work this way unfortunately, she would die without notice. But here we are being given the chance to claim this Death Date.

There are literally three developers. Also, it's not the staff who decide which suggestions are implemented, it's the Feedback team.

Well we don’t have as many devs as we did back in the day. We’re working on murder currently and it will be fixed soon, although I can’t say when.

Yes. A good majority of the staff team has declined because we have put hours of our days, months of our lives, in some cases years, into helping this server grow to be how it is. We wouldn’t be here today if we wanted to just give up because of reasons that can usually be fixed.

They're all busy. You can't expect the developers to:
A) Not have lives
B) Drop everything they are working on/doing to fulfil your needs.
C) Be able to fix it instantly.

Yes but this is their job, how would you like it if say you started a company and your machine broke (random) and and it took them 3 months to fix would you be mad or fine about it, as well as our needs yes they should drop everything and fulfill the people’s needs that’s why this thread is a thing and that why people are leaving point blank period.

Yeah theyre all leaving lmao. I'd be genuinely surprised if it were fixed before the end of the month. And good for you, but umm... its not exactly like you guys have a hard job or anything. Its just a Minecraft server rank. Regardless of whether you want to give up or not, its dead. Do you agree that MCPZ is dead or atleast dying? Do you agree that soon it will shut down?

They've got real-life problems just like the rest of us do, it's important that they deal with that before dealing with implementing games. Additionally, it's important to fix bugs and glitches such as creative continuously crashing and murder signs not working than implementing new features. The player-count has been down lately for many reasons. The generation that played Minecraft and the server originally, are leaving because of growing up like getting jobs, colleges, and/or just growing out of Minecraft all together. School also takes up most players' time therefore they might not be online as much as they usually would be. YouTubers that mainly focused on Minecraft have lately been playing more popular games which also decreases the player-count of both Minecraft and PZ.

As said before, we have put time and effort into this server. We may not have a hard job, but we do care about this server and want to see it grow more. A vast majority of us love this server beyond words and would hate to see it shut-down, so of course we don't want to see it go.

Well you can care about the server, and you can want to see it grow more. The reality is its not going to grow more. So, as sad as it is to see it go, its going to happen one way or another. EDIT: I'm pretty sure this suggestion won't get accepted anyways, simply because it needs admin approval, and if they approve it they're basically giving up one of their or their job, so.

The fact that Creative is all people play on PZ anymore is enough to sway me. The community is literally the only thing that sets PZ apart from other Creative servers now.

Why do so many people keep thinking "oh it could live longer", its dying just accept it. This plan gives us power over its last day. Wouldnt you love to have a date when you can surely think "well, this is the end. Happy 5 year birthday PZ. Lets all enjoy it one last time". I dont think it will be accepted either because people are too dense to see the logic behind it. This example works perfectly.

LOL "revive it". Dude look, I've been here when for its growth. Ive been here for its peak. Ive been here for its demise. Ive seen it all, and it all follows the pattern of all things. They grow, they live, they die. This is absolutely the end and there is nothing we can do about it except accept it and work WITH it instead of try to resist it. Your hope is misplaced sir.

Do you know what would happen if the medical community did that? I mean, sometimes they know that death is inevitable, however, we have less info then them, so we still don't know how soon it's going to die. It might be in a month, it might be in a year +.
I still think we can revive it, if we take the right steps, but y'know.
We're probably not going to change eachother's mind, so it's probably pointless continuing this.
