Apparently here.
So in recent times, more and more open plots have been getting hit with multiple errors in world edit, destroying multiple plots at a time. Open plots are honestly all too common in creative, and are incredibly risky for the seconds they save per person to add and remove people individually.

I feel like players should get a message in chat when they run /plot add *.

The message would read similarly to the message you receive when you run plot clear, except obviously adapted to be for the current situation, and have them have to run the command again to do so.

The idea is to let unsuspecting players know how much danger the action can put their builds in. Maybe even advising them to run /plot remove * when they're done.

I completely agree with this. Some people are rather unaware of the issues with allowing this and open their plot without properly taking into consideration how easily someone can just come along and grief your plot. Although it can be fixed in the if an accident occurs, it can save so much time and avoid the whole issue in the first place. Of course it’s still possible to be griefed if you add people one by one, but the chances of it happening in comparison to allowing the whole network to have access to your plot are much lower. There’s also the possibility of a world edit glitch, which has happened many times in the past times, where plots have been ruined without any possibility of getting the progress done, back- like you mentioned. A reminder to do /plot unadd * would be extremely helpful as well, for those who continue to open their plot with the intention of closing it later to avoid any issues. +1

I really like this idea, it'll further inform players of the risks of open plots before doing so. +1
