okay I actually need art help now

so after getting sucked into the fandom of my latest show, I decided to try and draw a human for the first time in my enter life (well, seriously wise.)

This isn't completed, nor is it even that good, but I wanted some opinions. The image on the left isn't mine, btw, just a ref for colors

Well, I guess add maybe some terrain, and maybe one of your favourite animals.
 
Hmmm....
Well, what I notice most about it is the neck. There's nothing wrong with it specifically, but it looks as if the torso of the character is the neck, and looks a bit out of place. Maybe use buttons an or zippers to show the placement a bit better?
Also it is a biiiiitttt hard to tell the difference between the hair and the hat, but coloring should fix that up easily, if you use different colors.

Also don't be afraid to play around with eye expressions. Using eyelids eyebrows or lines can really make a difference to the character. I think this drawing is really cute on its own though.

It's an iTunes app called ibisPaint X. Depending on the size of the picture you're doing you can use layers. The one I use lets me have 6 layers for sketching, coloring, and shading. The app's free but I'm gonna change my drawing app sometime in the future once I save up money. You can get it on your iPad / iPhone, it also lets you import many photos for refs.

I've been drawing humans since I was 10 or so, but without digital software and without real talent or patience. If you'd like, I could post one of my drawings here, but on a different thread because this one is for Absol's art and my art isn't nearly as good.
Argh, your style is super cute. I have nothing to critique you on due to my lack of experience and how good these are…

agh I really hate drawing hair on humans, I can probably learn a nose design fast I just suck at hair.
