Their parents were always low on money, and while their mother loved adventure their dad hated letting them out of the house. Their parents always fought with each other, and when they were 14 their parents divorced. Their dad took their other siblings away from them, and they stayed with their mom. In the same year their parents divorced, the personality switches increased quite a lot, to the point where they asked people online about it. They answered that they could be bigender, which Mars looked into. Mars realized that Bigender described their issue perfectly, but when they explained it to their mom, she wasn't supportive. She thought it was freakish to have two different personalities, let alone two different genders for them. Mars and their mom stopped talking to each other, as Mars rarely left their room. When Mars became 15 they attended a event at their school called ' More About Me'. They revealed that they were Bigender and began to get bullied. Ever since then, they always bumped into criticism and hateful people, because of this they've always been scared to tell people about them being Bigender. All the horrible things that happened to them in their past and the horrible people they met caused them to lose trust in other people, realizing the two versions of Mars could trust each other, and only each other. Ever since then when they are reminded of their 'freakish' issue, they often start to cry. Due to this, they try to play it normal when they switch personalities, but if someone figured out something was off, they'd end up having to tell them about it. {If you want to make someone, or everyone figure this out at a certain point in the story, it's completely fine by me. Marseline is good with anything involving imagination, this includes mazes, puzzles, escape rooms, and escaping during a chase though she can crack under pressure. She's also good at jumps in gymnastics. Meanwhile, Marsel is very fast and agile. He's quite intelligent, though not as smart as Marseline, he does have common sense. He's good at bars during gymnastics, which can come in handy during most situations where there's something up high that he can swing from to escape. Marseline's greatest weakness is eye contact. If her opponent makes eye contact with her, she'll freeze up and her brain won't work properly. Marsel's greatest weakness is that he's terrified of lightning, so loud sounds can remind him of lighting strikes which can cause him to hide out of instinct to his fear.

Anything Else?: They control when they switch, but they also switch personalities in situations where the other personality would be better at. For example, if they were to be attacked by a kidnapper with bad intentions while in their Marseline personality then they would switch to their Marsel personality and hit the kidnapper, running away afterwards and leaving the kidnapper in the dust.
There are also random times where both personalities activate at once, half Marsel and half Marseline. When this happens, they communicate and strategize to each other like two different people trapped in one body. {Marsel only talks to Marseline, but refuses to talk to others.}

Bigender meaning that they have two different identities that are different genders. The male identity goes by Marsel and is mute as he doesn't like to talk to anyone other than Marseline, whilst the female identity is Marseline and has a phobia of eye contact / locking eyes.

Backstory: Back when WW2 started, her grandparents were in France getting ready to fight. Against their will, they left to the Americas with nothing except their hope and clothes on their backs. Her mom had fled to France when the war ended, picking the language and accent back up. Her dad and mother gave birth to a brother, but he died whilst being born. Jasper doesn’t want to be in America, so she’s constantly tried to escape her struggle.
Personality: Jasper is very kind. Although nobody can really understand her English yet, she has a few different qualities than most. She tries her best to make friends, but she tried too hard once and pulled back for the rest of her time as of now. She’s very reserved and quiet, and she doesn’t prefer to start conversation. Jasper wants desperately to be more outgoing and “like ze otheairs” as she would pronounce it. She’s actually a really good thinker but she beats herself down a lot.

Backstory: Back when WW2 started, her grandparents were in France getting ready to fight. Against their will, they left to the Americas with nothing except their hope and clothes on their backs. Her mom had fled to France when the war ended, picking the language and accent back up. Her dad and mother gave birth to a brother, but he died whilst being born. Jasper doesn’t want to be in America, so she’s constantly tried to escape her struggle.
Personality: Jasper is very kind. Although nobody can really understand her English yet, she has a few different qualities than most. She tries her best to make friends, but she tried too hard once and pulled back for the rest of her time as of now. She’s very reserved and quiet, and she doesn’t prefer to start conversation. Jasper wants desperately to be more outgoing and “like ze otheairs” as she would pronounce it. She’s actually a really good thinker but she beats herself down a lot.
Likes & Dislikes: Jasper loves to paint and all things English literature. She loved her little swingset in the alleyway of her little cabin in France, and is still a child at heart. Her all time favorite thing to do? Shooting at the local gun range in her neighborhood. She wants to be just like her grandma someday. She was happy to do this because of how happy and playful she is. However in school things weren’t so well, her group of ‘friends’ would trick her into leaving and going to do something else since they knew she was gullible and easy to take advantage of, this has transitioned into her having trust issues in later life.
