I read through the requirements and I saw that "two factor authentication and two step verification" isn't a requirement, I suggest that it is one, so that staff members's accounts are safer in the future. Although some may not find it necessary, it can prevent others gaining access that we haven't given them, and it is a good way to protect our accounts. I think this is a good idea, that may not have to be a requirement, but a strong suggestion. Preventing unwanted activity on your account makes yourself feel safe, and others around you. We all know the damage that can happen when one gets hacked, so we should take advantage of these security measures and encourage staff members to use it! If you don't think this should be a "requirement", I'd take it as a "strong suggestion".
I take this suggestion to heart, as I would rather the staff members were safe. I know I don't get along with them and I know I'm extremely blunt and stubborn, but it doesn't stop me from caring about the safety of the server. My record is too vile to even consider me being a candidate to be a staff member, but I want to help out as much as I can, and that starts by looking out for everyone.
Thank you for reading this, and if you've gotten this far, I suggest turning on these features when you get the chance if you haven't already. xxx

https://mcpz.net/threads/new-staff-requirement.43193/ You already made one of these xD

I don't think staff should be required to have it, but I agree it should definitely be strongly advised and encouraged, not just for staff, but for everyone. Security is important, especially if said account has access to information players shouldn't know/permissions to do certain stuff.

All staff are forced to use 2 Factor Authentication by our login system, if a staff member logs in without 2FA then the system will lock them out until they set it up. However, I will keep your suggestion open as a suggestion to add it to the staff requirements.

Well I'm not allowed to bump old threads I always get banned whenever I do it even tho everyone else does it that's bull

When I was previously staff, we were all encouraged to have two factor authentication. Although, it helps with security of a user's account, it should be an option for staff to set up two factor authentication.

I use it even on all sites. I think it should be a recommended option but not a requirement. But I would highly recommend that staff do and none staff uses it.

The only reason it’s mandatory for staff to have is to prevent us staff from having our accounts hacked, such as when Desertmeadow had it hacked and a lot of stuff was posted on the forums - one example of why we need this as staff members, so it doesn’t really need to be a requirement if you have to have it as a staff member anyway.

oh yea i remember when the hacker leaked my IP and banned me for 26 years good times
I'm just saying that it should be on the requirements list tbh

It’s not necessary to be on there, as once you apply and if you get accepted and all that, it automatically makes it so you have to use it, so there’s no point putting it in the requirements

But you understand my point of this though, don't you?
